Enjoyed the coffee morning very much- lovely cakes. Everyone was kind and talked to me. My wife's friend is a resident on the first floor, the staff very kindly brought her to the lounge and it was nice to see her again.

Always a pleasure to visit my friend on the first floor and to see how much better she looks since coming to live at Augustus Court. She always looks well turned out, as she looked when she was younger as she was very elegant. It is obvious from the way that she greets the carers that they are kind
and loving towards her. Her room is neat, clean and spacious. It is reassuring and comforting to know that she is in such a safe, caring place.

My mum has been un Augustus Court for 2.5 years and she has always been very happy living there.
The majority of the staff are lovely and treat my mum with the care and respect that she deserves.
On occasions we have had some issues with poor procedures e.g. mums catheter bag not been emptied regularly
and the lack of Out of Top 30 (Position) - All looks ok so set to PP and sent verification email.
personal hygiene e.g. lack of bathing. However, her care has been very good.

I call regularly to visit my aunt and on numerous occasions I have noticed the home smells sometimes and is very dusty and the windows are dirty and the chairs smell and my auntys room is dusty with cobwebs at high levels and skirting boards are dusty. Just makes the cleaners look lazy as its not deep

I am sorry to hear that you feel your aunt's room is not to the cleanliness standards that we expect. The housekeeping team do complete regular deep cleans within the home and bedrooms, management also complete regular walk rounds and bedroom checks. We have recently just had all upholstery throughout the home professionally deep cleaned. The Manager would be more than happy to discuss this with you on your next visit to the home.

My mum is currently in for respite. She has mixed dementia but is very aware of everything. I have observed how she is treated and looked after. This is first-class. All the staff I have come into contact with care very deeply for all the residents. They go out of their way to ensure all their needs
are catered for. My mum will definitely be returning. I am very happy with my mum's care.

My mum has lived at the care home for nearly 2 1/2 years. The carers always make sure mum's needs are met in a caring and respectful way. Her room is kept clean and tidy as is the rest of the home. The new activity leader is excellent and makes sure the residents do stimulating activities. My only criticism
would be the head office speed of organising repairs. My mum's toilet broke and it took 2 weeks to repair and only after I had complained.

The staff try hard to look after the residents in a caring way. Sometimes when there is a shortage of staff it can be difficult for them to cover patients needs quickly. The new activities worker has lots of passion and enthusiasm to make each day has stimulating events for all. She is also keen to
raise funds for more activities.

Mum is a character who does not always agree to do the things that will help her. The care staff in AC have recognised this v. quickly and are extremely patient and caring despite the challenge. Mum and dad have moved into Augustus Court this month and we are all very happy with the care.
It is more like a hotel than a care home with very high standards.
Food is excellent, carers are all brilliant with my parents.
