View Full Details of Augustus Court Care CentreEnjoyed the coffee morning very much- lovely cakes. Everyone was kind and talked to me. My wife's friend is a resident on the first floor, the staff very kindly brought her to the lounge and it was nice to see her again.
Always a pleasure to visit my friend on the first floor and to see how much better she looks since coming to live at Augustus Court. She always looks well turned out, as she looked when she was younger as she was very elegant. It is obvious from the way that she greets the carers that they are kind and loving towards her. Her room is neat, clean and spacious. It is reassuring and comforting to know that she is in such a safe, caring place.
My mum has been un Augustus Court for 2.5 years and she has always been very happy living there. The majority of the staff are lovely and treat my mum with the care and respect that she deserves. On occasions we have had some issues with poor procedures e.g. mums catheter bag not been emptied regularly and the lack of Out of Top 30 (Position) - All looks ok so set to PP and sent verification email. personal hygiene e.g. lack of bathing. However, her care has been very good.
My grandma seems very happy and is well looked after by the staff. The staff are very good and treat my grandma well.
I call regularly to visit my aunt and on numerous occasions I have noticed the home smells sometimes and is very dusty and the windows are dirty and the chairs smell and my auntys room is dusty with cobwebs at high levels and skirting boards are dusty. Just makes the cleaners look lazy as its not deep cleaned.
My mum is currently in for respite. She has mixed dementia but is very aware of everything. I have observed how she is treated and looked after. This is first-class. All the staff I have come into contact with care very deeply for all the residents. They go out of their way to ensure all their needs are catered for. My mum will definitely be returning. I am very happy with my mum's care.
What a lovely wonderful caring home for respite for our mum. Welcoming, helpful and warm staff to make you feel at ease when leaving your loved one in their care . Confident our mums needs are met when in respite for the 1st time after losing her husband
My mum has lived at the care home for nearly 2 1/2 years. The carers always make sure mum's needs are met in a caring and respectful way. Her room is kept clean and tidy as is the rest of the home. The new activity leader is excellent and makes sure the residents do stimulating activities. My only criticism would be the head office speed of organising repairs. My mum's toilet broke and it took 2 weeks to repair and only after I had complained.
This review is based on my initial visit & subsequent admission day. Staff were very welcoming & helpful. Common areas were clean & tidy with residents appearing settled & content. My brothers room is spacious & pleasantly decorated with everything he needs.
The staff try hard to look after the residents in a caring way. Sometimes when there is a shortage of staff it can be difficult for them to cover patients needs quickly. The new activities worker has lots of passion and enthusiasm to make each day has stimulating events for all. She is also keen to raise funds for more activities.
It's always very sad when your loved one needs to move into the care system. My dad moved into Augustus Court just over a year ago. I can honestly say the care he has received has been exceptional. A very calm, caring environment.
Veyr caring home. My father is well looked after. Staff are kind and always have time to spend with him. It is a very calm place to visit.
Mostly pleased with the way my mum is cared for. Activities have improved, more going on recently. Mum is happy here.
Very welcoming towards both my mother in law and family members. Staff very up beat.
Pleased with the way my mother in law is being looked after. The appointment of the new entertainment representative has made is making a real difference. She has some really good ideas but will need some financial support to carry some of them out!
A welcoming home full of supportive and friendly staff. He seems very comfortable and well looked after.
Mum is a character who does not always agree to do the things that will help her. The care staff in AC have recognised this v. quickly and are extremely patient and caring despite the challenge. Mum says they are caring and kind 'lovely people' Praise indeed! Mum has not been well enough to join the activities but they look good.
Mum and dad have moved into Augustus Court this month and we are all very happy with the care. It is more like a hotel than a care home with very high standards. Food is excellent, carers are all brilliant with my parents. Mum is loving getting involved in all the activities. There is always something going on for them.
We have nothing to judge Augustus Court against but all the staff are very friendly and patient with Dad. The food is good. The room is very clean and homely. All in all a good experience.
My mum has been in there two years and is well looked after by the staff. Food is excellent they cater very well for the residents etc. cant recommend the home highly enough.
