An outstanding care home. The staff and management are all very approachable if there is any issues. Aways in contact with family members if there is any health concerns big or small.
The home is kept very clean, the residents rooms are cleaned every day, toilet and shower areas are clean. Hand
gel and paper towels are full.
Beds are always made, and most importantly clean!
Food is very good! Plenty of choices, drinks are available anytime throughout the day.
Activities are ongoing in week, which the residents really enjoy, weekends are quieter.
But Most importantly to us is knowing my mum is in a happy safe environment with people that take pride their care.

Navigating the very complicated systems and processes in order to find some respite care for my husband I very nearly gave up. But when I spoke to the front of house staff at Greenacres I found them to be so helpful - what had seemed impossible became possible and the arrangements were put in place
so thoughtfully and with so much care.
My husband received outstanding care from the wonderful staff during husband stay. I was able to have my much needed break knowing that he was in good hands. I cannot praise the staff highly enough! And the facilities are fabulous - the residents obviously love it there.
I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Greenacres to anyone who is looking for long or short term care for a loved one. The minute you walk through the door you can feel the care and kindness.
Thankyou Greenacres!

Mum who has been at Greenacres for approaching 4 years had a fall just before Christmas resulting in a stay in hospital over the festivities.Their was consternation amongst the family that Mum's future needs may have been outside the scope of Greenacres. Greenacres could not have dealt with the matter
in any better caring and understanding way and we will be eternally grateful to all concerned. Mum continues to prosper under the auspices of the wonderful staff at Greenacres.

I cannot fault the care my 94 year old Mum receives. She recently had a spell in hospital after a fall. When she returned to Greenacres she was not in a good way and indeed we thought she was coming to the end of her life. After 2 weeks back in the home being loved and cared for by the amazing staff
she bounced back and is back to her old self again.

Choosing Greenacres for Mum was a good decision. Mum is content and treated with kindness, dignity and respect. Her complex health needs have been managed appropriately with medical input when needed. The amazing staff have been kind and supportive, both to Mum and to me throughout a stressful transition.
Staffing
pressures are becoming more noticeable and can often affect how promptly residents' needs are met; however, any personal concerns I have raised have always been listened to and addressed professionally by the management team.
I would like to thank the entire Greenacres team for their care, commitment and ongoing support.

I have only praise for the care my mother receives at Greenacres. The staff are all helpful and extremely caring and treat the residents not only with all the care and dignity that you could hope for but seem to find time in their busy days to chat to them as if they were their own parents. The food
is always fabulous and there are always homemade cakes and puddings. My mum appears happy and relaxed and on the odd occasion when she's had a worry they ring me so I can speak to her. Thank you to you all for your continued support.

Greenacres's is a lovely warm and caring home.
All the staff from reception, care staff, and all involved are helpful, friendly caring and welcoming.
The entertainment and activities are very good with a wide variety of interesting things to occupy the day.
Hair salon and nail care and a visiting
chiropodist promote self image and wellness
I feel that my mum is well cared for by all the lovely staff and is in a safe place. She has lots of things to do which enhances her wellbeing.
Highly recommend for my piece of mind.

After looking at 3 care homes, Greenacres was definitely the best. Clean, bright, airy, different sides for how bad people were, different activities, a cinema room, salon, brilliant, although expensive! Mum's opinion is that the staff were good and helpful, but she had to ask for her orange that was
taken in specifically for her each day (2weeks respite). Mum wanted to come home early as the food wasn't good. A few of them complained to management after a week that they were mainly getting soup & sandwiches, and the evening meal wasn't good and not much of it/portion size. This let her respite visit down. Management didn't come back on the food.
Reply from Julie Caygill, Hospital Liaison Team Administrator at GreenacresThank you for taking the time to leave us a review and for the positive comments. I am sorry you experienced some disappointing aspects during the respite stay in relation to the catering in the home and that you say the management did not come back on the food, having this being investigated in the home. It appears you did speak with some of the Management Team and they had felt the discussions had answered the queries raised. A selection of sandwiches and homemade soup are on the menu as a light lunch daily along with a second choice. In regards to the catering and hospitality in the home we thrive on being the best and have recently gone through lots of change, changing suppliers and are currently reviewing the menus, we do hope this has not deterred you from coming back to stay with us.

I can totally recommend Greenacres. My mother in law came to live here at the beginning of July. She has a lovely first floor room which is tastefully decorated and furnished. She brought her own settee with her. The room overlooks a beautiful garden where residents can sit and chat. Her room also has
an en-suite wet room which is perfect.
The staff are on the ball and are very helpful, kind and approachable. Nothing is too much trouble. The kitchen provides great food, and can be eaten in the residents own room or in the spacious dining room. So far cannot find fault with Greenacres. We have peace of mind knowing that she is safe and in very capable hands.

As I live a good distance away I am unable to visit my brother regularly. On the occasions I have been able to visit Greenacres I have been most impressed by the excellent standard of care and kindness shown by staff towards him and other residents. Greenacres is well designed with lovely outside spaces
to spend time with visitors. The building is modern, bright, safe and welcoming. I have regular telephone contact with staff who we always happy to update me on my brother's situation. When I visit I am relieved and re-assured that he is in the best possible place and beign cared for with dignity. This was our 93 year old parents first stay in respite care and they really enjoyed it. They were treated with respect, care and dignity during the three weeks they were there. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and for us, it meant that we had no worries whilst they were there knowing that
they were being well looked after.
It was such a success, that we are hoping to repeat the experience later on in the year!

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.723)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.723) out of 10 for Greenacres is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 31 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 31 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.723 for Greenacres is calculated as follows: ( (273 Excellents x 5) + (85 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 365 Ratings = 4.723
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Greenacres is based on 31 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 64 registered maximum number of service users is 12.8, which has been reached with 31 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
