Our all inclusive fee gives peace of mind and allows residents to enjoy our facilities and services without having to worry about extra costs. The staff are very helpful and obviously care about their residents. They listen to our requests, queries and questions - they do their best to help whenever they can. Just one thing; as we can't come and go freely (Covid), I would like to have regular communication regarding Dad's care ie, if he's
seen a dietician or physio etc. It's difficult to get to speak to the right person who can help with this aspect.

My father went into Greenacres for respite care originally, but after two weeks, he was asking if it was ok for him to stay permanently because he liked it so much. It means a lot to the family to know he is safe and cared for so well.

Would be a lot better if there was a greater continuity of care. Those carers who have been there for a while are very helpful.

I am really pleased with the care my dad received at Greenacres care home by all the staff who work there. I am especially happy with how well the staff know my dad and his quirky ways. I hadn't mentioned a medical condition that he hadn't had issues with in the last five years, and given that he can't
tell us, it was picked up along with other medical needs by the alert staff. I feel he is being cared for by family, and he loves his home, which means I can relax knowing he couldn't have better care.

After viewing several care homes, my wife and I settled on Greenacres as a clear leader in the facilities, staff and activities available to residents. My father-in-law, although pretty fit physically for any 83 year old, was suffering from dementia which meant he was unable to fend for himself. In
the time he was there, all our expectations were met, sometimes exceeded but throughout all staff and management did what they could to make the environment a home and a place he was always happy to return to.

My mother passed away at Greenacres in February after a stay of over three years. This very sad event was eased by the love, care and kindness showed to her by all the staff and indeed to myself and my brother. It was clear that mum was very fond of a lot of the staff, evidence of close relationships
developed over the three years. The support was very professional too, the deputy and senior care staff explained very clearly about palliative care and answered all our queries at different stages. The last 12 months have been tough, we've been more reliant on the staff to keep mum's spirits up and they've responded tremendously. We are so very grateful.

I would like to extend my utmost gratitude to all the team at Greenacres care home. My father was so happy in your care, and you made his last year as enjoyable as possible through all the covid 19 restrictions placed upon residents and visitors. I know this continues. My father recently died in Greenacres,
but he was looked after by the most caring, wonderful team. He had been in hospital unrelated to the covid-19 virus, and with the support of Greenacres, he was able to return there for his last few days. My father was treated with the utmost respect taking all his needs into consideration and ours too as his family. Whilst this was a very sad situation, I wanted to thank all of you for upholding my father's dignity and delivering his care in a very calm and welcoming environment. With the help of the district nurses, GP and your care and kindness, my father died peacefully in a place he called his home. A big thank you to each and every one of you for everything you do.

The home is very pleasant. Staff very kind and residents well cared for. As in lockdown, we cannot visit inside - so seeing people through an outside window is difficult, especially in the cold weather. The activities that are held at Greenacres are very good and the staff go over and beyond to keep
everyone happy, even though they miss their own families.

Mum has been in Greenacres for 20 months. In this time she has been cared for by the staff in a kind and caring way. Mum didn't want to come into the home but eventually settled well. Covid affected everyone but the staff have supported Mum throughout. This relates to all the staff, from management
to careworkers, kitchen and cleaners.

My aunt has been a resident for 10 years, I have always found the staff informative and caring. The home is very clean and the residents seem extremely happy. They seem to enjoy a lot of activities and I keep up to date with events going on through Facebook. I have enjoyed seeing my aunt today for the
first time in 11 months with a booked visit. I would highly recommend Greenacres.

Have been wonderful looking after my mum even when she became poorly and bedfast.

Modern well-appointed, spacious, purpose-built property. The home is well run and has been very good at protecting its residents and staff against coronavirus. Unfortunately, due to lockdown measures and my mother’s concentration and hearing, visits have been limited and at a distance. She appears to

My dad has been at Greenacres now for around 5 months and I am delighted with the care that he receives each day. The staff know him really well and will try to engage him in a range of activities that they know he has enjoyed in the past. It has been very difficult during this time to visit Dad and
he does not cope well with phone calls. However, the staff are always very happy to talk about his day when we call and we never feel rushed during the calls. We enjoy looking at photographs on the Facebook page and Dad always looks happy and well cared for. We were very reluctant for Dad to go into a care home at the beginning of this year but we now know that this is the best place for him to live, as he is part of a community again and he is safe, well cared for and engaged in a variety of stimulating activities. We are so very grateful to the staff at Greenacres on a daily basis.

Staff are always helpful and find time to listen and discuss the needs of the resident. They are patient and friendly. The staff never make us feel that we are being a nuisance. I would point out that we have not entered the home due to the current regulations.

My mother has been cared for at Greenacres for three years. The staff have all been kind, caring and professional.
During these past weeks of lockdown due to the Coronavirus, they have continued with the same impressive care and attention to detail to ensure the safety, wellbeing and happiness of
my Mother.
I particularly love the social media page which allows me to see what activities and entertainment are going on. The cinema room is a real winner for Mum who loves music and musicals.
I look forward to life returning to normal so I'll be able to spend quality time with her, but in the interim period I would like to thank all at Greenacres ...you're amazing!

The Staff at Greenacres are kind and caring. They are sensitive and reassuring to each resident's individual needs.
When visiting they are welcoming and always pleasant and helpful on the phone.

Sarah Tomczynski

“I love working at Greenacres, we are all like a big family with our residents at the centre of everything we do”


Sarah has worked in care for over 18 years and has been at Greenacres for eight and has recently been promoted to Registered Home Manager. Sarah ensures that she is available to help lead the staff team to provide aspirational lifestyle choices for every single one of our residents. Sarah is on hand to answer any queries from our resident’s family and friends and will ensure that anyone coming to live with us can move in with as little disruption as possible. She constantly promotes independence for our residents and works with the Lifestyle Manager to provide regular exciting activities both within the home and on external trips.


Sarah has a certificate in Health and Social Care Management from Leeds Metropolitan University and has recently completed her NVQ Level 5 in Management of Adult and Children’s Services.
