Modern well-appointed, spacious, purpose-built property. The home is well run and has been very good at protecting its residents and staff against coronavirus. Unfortunately, due to lockdown measures and my mother’s concentration and hearing, visits have been limited and at a distance. She appears to be being looked after well.

My dad has been at Greenacres now for around 5 months and I am delighted with the care that he receives each day. The staff know him really well and will try to engage him in a range of activities that they know he has enjoyed in the past. It has been very difficult during this time to visit Dad and he does not cope well with phone calls. However, the staff are always very happy to talk about his day when we call and we never feel rushed during the calls. We enjoy looking at photographs on the Facebook page and Dad always looks happy and well cared for. We were very reluctant for Dad to go into a care home at the beginning of this year but we now know that this is the best place for him to live, as he is part of a community again and he is safe, well cared for and engaged in a variety of stimulating activities. We are so very grateful to the staff at Greenacres on a daily basis.

Staff are always helpful and find time to listen and discuss the needs of the resident. They are patient and friendly. The staff never make us feel that we are being a nuisance. I would point out that we have not entered the home due to the current regulations.

I'd like to wish my Aunty a happy 100th birthday today 26th April, unfortunately, as I'm in shielding for 12 weeks, mum, her sister and I won't be able to visit. However, as soon as lockdown is lifted, we will be up to see her. Send her our love. Stay safe.

My mother has been cared for at Greenacres for three years. The staff have all been kind, caring and professional.
During these past weeks of lockdown due to the Coronavirus, they have continued with the same impressive care and attention to detail to ensure the safety, wellbeing and happiness of my Mother.
I particularly love the social media page which allows me to see what activities and entertainment are going on. The cinema room is a real winner for Mum who loves music and musicals.

I look forward to life returning to normal so I'll be able to spend quality time with her, but in the interim period I would like to thank all at Greenacres ...you're amazing!

1)TV cannot be seen from the bed - needs fixing to bracket on the wall.
2) Cupboard doors crash shut - needs slam proof hinges for silent closing.
3) Red alarm button: Response time is usually over 15-minutes so would be no good in an emergency. Eg - one night an old lady came into my room uninvited, rummaged through my medication, ate my chocolate biscuits and got into bed with me. All this time always was activated and nobody came.
4) Lounge/dining area: Approximately ten dinners and four servers who don't have a system for serving and just get in each other's way. Table settings are never complete. One example - served a cup of coffee - no sugar offered or available on the table, sugar requested - sugar came but no teaspoon, teaspoon requested - teaspoon came, three trips to table for on cup of coffee! Also a shortage of spoons. I brought three from a charity shop and donated them but it didn't make any difference.
5) Food - Generally very basic - not appetising. Eg, Welsh Rarebit on menu - just melted cheese on a warm soggy white bread, not even toast.

Suggestions - Emergency alarm response time needs improving. Housekeeper or manager sits in during mealtimes to observe.

Very kind, caring staff. Any enquiries or problems regarding Mum are always dealt with very quickly and efficiently. Caring and kindnesses are not only shown to Mum, but to me as well which is very much appreciated. Greenacres to me is like a 5-star hotel, clean, well looked after, well furnished, brilliant amenities and entertainment. All in all, in my opinion, is excellent. Making a heartbreaking decision to put Mum in a home was terrible but made better by the standard of care and kindness she receives.

My mum has been at Greenacres for nearly three years and is settled. The rooms are nice and clean, and the food/menus are good. It is nice that the carers on West Nab View are on most of the time so my mum can relate to them and I can ask, at any time, how she is and they tell me straight away.

Greenacres has been a wonderful place for my father to stay. From the quick and easy access to emergency respite care in April 19 followed by permanent care from June 19. The home is very well managed and all staff irrespective of role know my father's name and address him with patience, support and a smile. The home and gardens are well maintained and my father's room is of a high standard. The care staff team are second to none and have given us complete peace of mind on his care at all times. The care plans are completed electronically and show all aspects of residents everyday life and medical support. The entertainment and trips allow my father to have quality of life, although living with Dementia.

Very impressed with the manager, care manager and all the staff at Greenacres. My Aunt had some health conditions affecting her normal behaviour. The manager and care manager brought these to our attention sensitively and had a plan to help resolve the problems. We have been able to move her into a more suitable room and lounge.

Thank you all for your professionalism, patience and genuine care.

My mum who is 99 and has vascular dementia has been in Greenacres for three and a half years. I am very impressed with the standard of care that she receives. The staff are really kind and caring. The home-cooked food is of good quality and quite varied, with choices. I always have peace of mind that mum is being well looked after and is safe. I think with the new management on board it will get even better.

I place my Mum into Greenacres for respite care for 2 weeks while my husband and I went on holiday. We did this with a view to a permanent stay. Mum was looked after very well, apart from a slight problem with not changing her underwear. But she continually asked to go home. After a further weeks trial, we decided it was too soon for her to go into permanent care. When, and if, she deteriorates to the point when she can't stay in her own home we would be happy to place her in Greenacres full time.
