Our all inclusive fee gives peace of mind and allows residents to enjoy our facilities and services without having to worry about extra costs. A friend was admitted to Greenacres this year and is currently in the dementia unit. Overall the carers are kind and caring. Rooms and decor is good and the garden kept to a good standard of maintenance. I understand that the food is good and it's very good to see residents engaged in the range of activities
available. However, the smell of urine in the dementia unit is very unpleasant and at times overpowering. The communal carpet needs replacing after a deep clean of the flooring underneath.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and for the many positive comments, we are sorry to read that during your visits you have experienced an odour, we can assure you that this is not a general concern we have raised in the home and may have been following an accident, we do arrange regular carpet cleans at home level and also professional cleans, we also receive lots of positive feedback in regards the cleanliness of the home and the fantastic job our housekeeping team do. We have discussed this concern with our head housekeeper for it to be monitored, if you do notice anything you feel unhappy with at your visits please do raise this with a member of the team as we would hope your visits are both enjoyable and pleasant.

My father moved into Greenacres after the death of my mother and then returned from 30 years in New Zealand. The management and staff have been friendly, caring and understanding of the special circumstances and caring needs that my father needs. They have made the experience as pleasant as can be and
he has settled in well.
The care staff led by two carers on shift have been thoughtful, considerate; polite and courteous. They have made the necessary adjustments to his care plan as needed and are when possible extremely patient and helpful when I have made requests of them.
The accommodation is clean, beautifully decorated and imaginatively thought through.
I would have 100% confidence in placing my loved ones with Greenacres.

Such a lovely caring home.
The staff are fantastic who really do care about the residents' health and wellbeing. Nothing is too much trouble.
Everything is clean. The meals and food are freshly made.
I would highly recommend Greenacres to anyone.

The decision to place a loved one in a care home is stressful for the family and even more so for the person entering. The home worked hard to make the process as easy as possible to negotiate and did everything possible to ease the transition and to make Mum quickly feel at home and part of the community.
The staff - both care and admin - were uniformly excellent, their attitude and activities undoubtedly helped my mother to adjust to the home where she is now very happy. The facilities are very very good, as are the available activities; her room is very comfortable and she enjoys the food.

My stepdad is happy here. He is always clean and enjoys the company and the activities. The home is light and welcoming and there is a good atmosphere about it when I visit. His only complaint is that he is a bit bored at times. However, we don't know if he has engaged in all the activities on offer
or not.

My nan is in Greenacres, and I can honestly say the standards and the care is exceptional. What I love the most is they make such a big deal out of special occasions and really go all out so the residents get involved. I come most days with my little girl, and they dont only make my nan feel welcome,
but myself and my daughter love coming. It's such a fun, friendly, loving atmosphere.

The home is very friendly and has a homely atmosphere. I am always offered a drink and Mum seems happy here. She was lonely at home but is usually with other people at Greenacres. Overall the feeling is professional and friendly.

I have always received a warm welcome from staff. They are very helpful. My friend likes it here and is looked after well. Greenacres is clean, it doesn't smell. Plenty of activities for residents. The rooms are homely. I have been to the Chatty Cafe with my friend today, the buns were to die for!

Everything looks ok so far. My brother has only been here for a week and is on a two-week trial. Very impressed so far compared to others which my father-in-law was in a few years ago.

Greenacres provides great professional duty of care.
Mum is cared for to the highest standard and I am always kept informed of anything that happens and the staff also support me in the difficult dementia journey we are on.
The staff are caring and patient and treat residents with warmth and compassion.
The
activities are varied and the activities coordinator is always working hard to find new and enjoyable things to do that suit such a variety of residents.
I highly recommend Greenacres as a great home for your family member.

Having used many homes with other members of our family and not having had a great experience you always worry about finding the right home, but I can't complement this team enough. The home is always clean and tidy, it is homely, when you walk in you nearly always see staff sat with the residents doing
something not just sat watching them. Not once have I had to ask them to get a GP for my mum, they always beat me to it, they are incredibly vigilant, caring and professional. They very quickly got to know mum and provide any support that she needs in a way that she can manage, which can be a challenge due to her dementia.

It was great to see Grandad settled and well cared for in a warm, comfy and clean home. The staff are friendly, professional and helpful. The whole home felt so welcoming and I'm happy he was happy.

Mum came to live at Greenacres Care Home at the end of April following some changes in her health which had impacted on her independence. From the first visit to look around to the daily visits we have been making to settle Mum in, every member of staff has been warm, kind, caring and considerate. We
feel totally secure knowing that Mum is receiving the very best possible care and all her needs are being met. We know we have made the right choice.

All staff have been warm and welcoming. The premises are clean and well cared for. This has obviously been a big change for our family as well as Mum and the staff have shown a deep understanding of our feelings. I cannot fault the care being offered.

Mum has been in Greenacres since February 2022 and has been looked after brilliantly. The decision was very difficult for us to move her in the care home but the result has been unbelievable. From the moment we took her in she has become calm, never has she mentioned going home, always looks fresh and
dressed nice. She has a good appetite and told she eats all meals. The care she is given is lovely. The staff who work at Greenacres are so helpful, friendly and always notify us if needed. If sometimes we cannot visit thru work difficulties we can ring to check on Mum and they always let us know how she is doing, which is very reassuring. Knowing Mum is being looked after 24/7 is the best feeling. Thank you to all staff.

Sarah Tomczynski

Job Title: Registered Home Manager Joined: 2012

“I love working at Greenacres, we are all like a big family with our residents at the centre of everything we do”


Sarah has worked in care for over 18 years and has been at Greenacres for eight and has recently been promoted to Registered Home Manager. Sarah ensures that she is available to help lead the staff team to provide aspirational lifestyle choices for every single one of our residents. Sarah is on hand to answer any queries from our resident’s family and friends and will ensure that anyone coming to live with us can move in with as little disruption as possible. She constantly promotes independence for our residents and works with the Lifestyle Manager to provide regular exciting activities both within the home and on external trips.


Sarah has a certificate in Health and Social Care Management from Leeds Metropolitan University and has recently completed her NVQ Level 5 in Management of Adult and Children’s Services. Sarah is extremely passionate about her role and finds that Greenacres is a huge part of her life – why not pop in and say hello to the Greenacres family next time you are passing?
