Colton Lodges offers a comfortable home for all residents. There are many areas for residents to relax and unwind as well as engage in hobbies and interests. The onsite café and conservatory provides residents with areas to socialise with one another and their relatives.

Overall I'm really happy with our experience at Colton Lodges. Since coming here my grandma has gone from strength to strength and fully recovered from when she first came. We've found that staff are caring and my grandma enjoys their company. We know she is well looked after.

My husband has settled well and is more motivated and engaged than he has been since his stroke 2 years ago. He enjoys the many activities and entertainment and joins in. It would be good to have umbrellas up outside for hot weather as there is no air conditioning.

I highly recommend this care home. The members of staff and the unit manager are caring, warm, professional and were excellent at keeping us informed. My mum had specific care needs for end of life and we were comforted at how well she was looked after from her arrival. We visited everyday, it was so

This is an amazing care home, such compassionate staff. Everyone cared for our uncle to the highest levels. My uncle was treated with dignity even down to getting him his daily paper, Pepsi max and jellies. Also activities like pie making were amazing.

I am really pleased with the care mum is receiving. All the staff have fantastic relationships with her which is great. With help from the activity team, we celebrated mum's 100th birthday with a party and singer for all her family and friends, which exceeded my expectations.

My uncle was admitted to Colton Lodge on 30/1/2025, discharged from hospital. He was very poorly. I feel the care staff at Colton looked after him very well and treated him with dignity. Also very happy with the management.

Just want to say a huge thank you to all staff at Colton Lodges. From Management to cleaners, everyone makes the effort to remember residents names, their likes and dislikes and always give visitors a warm welcome. I felt like they were an extended family to both myself and my dad. My late father was
a real character who kept staff on their toes! The staff loved him and cared greatly for him. He refused to join in anything and everything, but they persisted in asking just in case he changed his mind. I was kept updated with everything in relation to my dad's care and nothing was too much trouble. I cannot recommend this care facility enough. They deserve a Good rating for their next CQC as they are truly amazing.

The care is good - the staff are kind. Mum is happy, we feel that sometimes the staff are a bit careless regarding mum's personal items. Her false teeth were thrown away, her hearing aids were lost, items of clothing (all of which are named) have gone missing and her wheelchair was damaged (at a cost
of £100 to us!). Obviously mum doesn't know about any of this and would be very upset if she did know.

We are very pleased with the way mum settled into life at Colton Lodges Care Home. Mum feels safe, well looked after and no longer lonely. The staff in Garforth are all amazing, the unit is well run by a member of staff and her team. We have no concerns. Mums only request is for a nicer outside space
to use in the summer and some flowers to look at.

My mum is asked whether she wants to get out of bed or have a shower as soon as she wakes. When she says no she is not asked again. Mum is bed bound now and often does not get a wash - she uses face wipes and I brush her teeth when I arrive each day at 4pm (even though these basic care duties have been
brought up by me before). Often given a cup which she can not hold and food she cannot cut up or chew. Some, but not all, staff do not speak to her when attending her.

My mum has been a resident of Colton Lodges Care Home since February 2020 and in all this time, we have been happy with the care and dignity with which she has been treated. She can no longer sit in the lounge and join in any activities but she always looks warm and cosy in her room. A big thank you

The home is clean, good food. Husband is well looked after. Day staff have a good relationship with both husband and family. Room is nice, would prefer hard flooring not carpet. The activity staff are lovely, trips are good such as nature walks/pubs.

As a Registered Nurse, Danielle has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Danielle chose to become Home Manager at Colton Lodges as she closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Danielle remarked:


“Making a difference to people’s lives, it’s a pleasure to see our Resident’s living happy and fulfilled lives.”


Outside of work, Danielle is a devoted wife and mother to two boys who enjoys travelling to America, she hopes to visit all 52 states in her lifetime. In her spare time, she is a big supporter of football, rugby, American football and ice hockey.
