On arrival I found the reception staff to be very welcoming and helpful. The home itself was spotlessly clean and is obviously very well maintained. Nursing/care staff were lovely, very approachable and happy to answer any questions we had.

The staff of Castleview Care Home have been exceptional with my mother. She has been a resident for over 2 years. The care and attention to detail that they treat all patients with is amazing.
The facility is excellent and was redecorated and upgraded.
Activities are well suited to the residents
and I cannot praise the staff highly enough.

My dear Mother in Law moved to Mavisbank from another care home last year. The transition from family home into care has been a difficult time for us but we are so very happy with the care she is receiving now. The home is welcoming, clean and modern. Kates team of staff are fantastic. From domestics
to management everyone is professional, friendly and caring. Rose, Jenna, Nicole, Kristen, Claire, to name but a few of ALL the great staff who have show kindness and compassion to both my MIL and us as a family. Although its a situation we never anticipated being in, we are content in the knowledge that our dear family member is safe, well cared for and looked after in a lovely environment. As a nurse manager in an NHS ward setting i have high expectations of the care i expect her to receive and im very happy in the knowledge that this is being delivered. I would highly recommend this care home. Thank you for the care you provide.

Exceptional and Compassionate Staff work as a team and very professional, kindness, and attentive nature, noting they treat residents with dignity and respect.

The care home offers a vibrant program of activities, including daily exercise classes, music, arts and crafts, an in-house cinema, and

regular bus trips and outings. My mother is always encouraged to participate and the activities team are outstanding.

The management team are approachable and the clear, consistent communication regarding our loved ones well-being.

Mugdock Care home is a modern, clean, and well-appointed home with excellent facilities, including a secure landscaped garden and private dining options. Which we as a family are grateful for.

Overall I would highly recommend the Mugdock Care Home to anyone looking for care.

Dad came into Mavisbank in March. He settled in well and is a warm and homely home. Staff are brilliant and caring and even know the residents families by first name when visiting. Dad is 96 and spends most of his day walking up and down corridors with his Zimmer, staff are amazed how much he walks.
I would highly recommend Mavisbank to anyone who is looking for a care home for family. Staff from manager to domestics are all very pleasant and nothing is a bother.

Mavisbank Care Home always provides an excellent level of care and support for my mum. There is always a a feeling of genuine warmth and interest in her wellbeing from all members of staff. They have become mum's surrogate family and we see that reflected in their daily interactions with her. The ethos
of care we have experienced extends from manager, through admin staff, nursing, carer and auxiliary staff. We have a high degree of confidence in, and take comfort from the fact that mum is being so well looked after in the last days of her life.

The front of house staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. The care staff are exceptional with my mum, responding and understanding her particular/personal needs. The activities coordinators bring joy and laughter to residents daily. The staff who clean, cook and maintain Mugdock House have the same
'can-do' attitude to any request. The nursing staff are A*1 - kind, knowledgeable and proactive in their care of mum. Very happy daughter. Thank you staff.

I looked at numerous care homes before selecting Mugdock House Care Home. I could not be more pleased with my selection. Mugdock gave mum a new lease on life. She loved the staff, the activities and even the food and mum was a very fussy eater. Her room was lovely and very comfortable but her favourite
place to be was in the lounge with lots of company. Mum was riding a rickshaw in the Botanic Gardens laughing and eating ice cream just weeks before she died. What a perfect life she had at Mugdock.

Mavisbank is run by staff who are caring, helpful and friendly. They attend to the residents needs promptly and with compassion. Staff are always approachable.
I see my mother is well cared for, clean and content. I highly recommend this care home, having had experience in another home which was extremely
disappointing.
As a relative, I am very happy with Mavisbrook and I believe Mum is too. Thanks to all the staff.

Our dad was in Mavisbank Care Home from August 2024 til he sadly passed away in March 2025. At our initial meeting with the management team it was emphasised the importance of treating Mavisbak as the residents' home and throughout our Dad's time there that is exactly as we found it. The managers and
their team treat the residents with care and compassion and do everything they can to make the environment friendly and fun for them. During our Dad's last days the staff team demonstrated genuine compassion, sensitivity and thoughtfulness and we will always be truly grateful for that.
