I would like to thank the nursing team, my father was only in Plas Cwm Carw for a shot time(7 weeks) but I can honestly say the staff were amazing from day 1, they are so friendly and caring, they treated my farther with dignity and respect, and welcomed my mother and i every day when we visited, when
it came to end of life, the nursing staff were fantastic, keeping us updated on my fathers wellbeing, even at the end, they were caring and informative to what would happen next.
I would like to thank each and every nurse and care assistant that looked after my father, you do a fantastic job
Thank you so much, there are not enough stars for me to give my appreciation

My dad has been in Cwrt-Clwydi-Gwyn Care Home since July 11th. After visiting several homes this was the best by far. The manager, admin & all staff have been outstanding. The care they have shown my dad in this short time has been second to none. It has been an extremely difficult time for us as a
family which has been made more manageable due to the care and support shown by the staff at the care home. My dad appears quite happy & settled and is well cared for, which gives us peace of mind. Thank you.

My experience of Plas Cwm is that I am made to feel welcome when I visit staff from management down to housekeeping are very friendly my brother has only been there since August but has settled well and gets on with all the staff (many of which he calls his friends). Activities are amazing and singers
interact with the residents. Staff work hard on a daily basis, especially with entertainment and involves all residents, getting up to dance with them if residents choose to do so.

Overall I am very satisfied with the care my mother is receiving I have sometimes noticed lack of communication due to staff changing so much. The laundry service leaves much to be desired- My mums clothes etc- are all labelled with embroidered name tags that are very securely sewn on- yet the clothes
seem to get lost and often other peoples clothes are in her wardrobe- also my mams hearing aids have gone through the wash twice- as pockets are not checked! Also clothes are not sorted before being washed. Most of my mothers "white" underwear is now dirty grey and some missing.
Reply from HC-One Limited, Administrator at Plas Cwm Carw Care Home

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you are overall satisfied with the care provided at our home. We have been actively working on staff deployment to ensure greater consistency within our communities. We are very sorry to hear about your concerns regarding your mum's clothing. Unfortunately, high temperature washes can sometimes affect the colour of whites, but we are exploring alternative solutions to maintain their quality. Additionally, we are working hard to implement a more robust labelling system to minimise the risk of clothing going missing. We have also reinforced communication with our laundry team to ensure extra care is taken when returning residents' clothing. Staff are reminded to check pockets carefully, we will continue to ensure that important items such as hearing aids are handled appropriately and not going through the wash. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

My uncle has settled in very well and the staff have welcomed him from the start. Staff go above and beyond in their job roles.
They work really hard providing activities for the residents and always get them involved if the residents choose to do so.

My friend moved in 11th November 2024.
I can't thank the manager and all the staff for what they do. It has been a trying time since my friend moved in but everyone has been amazing, food is great, I have had some myself. Homely feel throughout the home. Staff are always checking on my friend and
also checking that I am ok too. They all get me involved in everything that is going on, we have been doing the decorations on the trees for Christmas.
I feel he is being well looked after and I am very happy he is here, and me too.

On the 2nd September 2024, after a fall at my home on the weekend, medical and social assistance provided. I had rung Cwrt-Clwydi-Gwyn Care Home querying vacancies. The manager informed me of one and with confirmation from my surgery that I could walk (with an aid) and telephone reassurance, good! The
manager and assistant called to assess me on 6th September and after a thorough check informed me of physio and all fabulous. Staff exemplary.

My mum was moved here from another home, well I'm so happy because I see my mum so much happier, she loves it here. The staff go above and beyond for the residents nothing is too much for them, there is a lovely garden, and lots of activities, and the rooms are beautiful with en suite toilets. I love
the fact that they hold meetings every few months just to keep up to date with the family. When I take my mum out, after a couple of hours she asks to go back, so that to me means she feels safe and it's her safe space, cannot fault this home.

My husband is not an easy man because of his dementia. Plas Cwm has managed him and his condition very well, he is always clean and tidy and has been offered food even if he will not eat it. His dementia can make him very challenging but he has received nothing but kindness at this home.

My wife moved to Plas Cwm from another care home about a fortnight ago. The previous staff and home were very good but I feel much happier in this establishment. The staff are very obliging and there is a homely feeling at the home. The security is so good.

We can't speak highly enough of Cwrt-Clwydi-Gwyn. Everything was of a very high standard and the home environment was warm, welcoming, and supportive, as well as decorated and maintained to a very high standard. Every member of staff under the excellent management ladies gives 100% all of the time and
we commend each and every one of them. A superb home. Thank you from all of the family.

My mother was in the care of this facility for just under a year before she sadly passed away (due to ill health). The care/compassion shown by every member of the care home was second to none. We were kept informed regarding anything to do with her care and if we had any queries they were always answered
with as much information as they had to share with us. All the staff in the care home were also very welcoming to us as a family and cared for our mother with dignity and respect. As a family, it is always a hard decision to make when deciding on a care home but I can honestly say we definitely made the right choice. All is left to say is thank you to the whole team for making our mother as comfortable as you could in her last few months.
