I cannot thank the staff enough for the gentle and dignified care they are currently providing my dad, who is on palliative care. Silverwood is, as claimed, good but not the 'best' in the market. The staff seem to be well trained and patient. My position and health mean I can do more than most residents, and many of the staff understand I can get around; others have the understanding.

Dad is very happy at Silverwood Care Home. He contributes - leading an art group and managing the garden at the rear - and appreciates being allowed to. He also spends his own money on these projects. The senior nurse and carer are very respectful, and we are impressed with the team - good communication.
His room is ideal (with a patio), and he is allowed to pop out to church whenever he chooses. The food is plentiful - he would prefer more (flavour) but understands why it is 'safe'. We live opposite, so see him 3 - 4 times a week - a pleasure

So pleased we could get a place at Springwater Lodge Care Home for my husband. The staff are so caring and helpful, not not just for him but also for myself and other family members. Always professional, they obviously understand what they are dealing with, and it's so reassuring that there are nursing
staff there 24/7 as well as carers.
I have no qualms about my husband living there as I know he is well looked after, warm and safe throughout the coldest of conditions.

The home is clean and tidy,
The food could do with being more interesting, its a roast everyday, and sandwiches for tea, although you can make your own drinks, drinks should be offered more, as a lot of people get water infections,
The entertainment needs a boost, look on line to get ideas, as its
very boring and same all the time, bingo and reading from a paper. Wish residents would get taken out more, or at all!

In my opinion the care home is excellent in all areas. The staff are caring, thoughtful and professional. The home provides a friendly but secure environment wtih lots of stimulas for the residents. The staff are friendly and approachable and happy. They have a wide range of issues to cope with, but

Bowbridge Court is always welcoming. The staff are polite and exude kindness. They have a rapport with Mum and make her visitors at ease.

We have felt so grateful for the care our 93 year old mother has received at Bowbridge Care Home. The staff are amazing and the home has a wonderful friendly, welcoming feel to it. It is always clean and tidy and both staff and residents seem happy. Communication with family members is exceptional and
the home put on an incredible variety of daily activities for residents. Having an on site hairdresser is also a very welcome service the care home provides.

My mum came to Bowbridge Court after a few hospital stays and a few months of home care. She was lonely and frail. We chose Bowbridge because of the 'good' rating, it looked nice after visiting, and the closeness to my home. We've been delighted with her care, the helpfulness of all the team - from
reception, to the entertainment team, but especially the care team and supervisors. So glad we chose Bowbridge Court.

I have always found the staff to be very helpful - lovely to have male staff for male residents - great to have long term staff for continuity for the residents.
