My father was in need of residential care when his PA moved out of his locality. I and my sisters were expecting that dad would resist residential care, preferring to stay in his own home. We explained that this could not happen due to his increasing support needs and also the fact that his personal
funds could no longer support 24/7 care in his own home. We explained that we would need to sell his house to fund future care costs. I contacted a care directory whom I had used in the past - they duly sent me a shortlist of homes in our chosen locality. I contacted Fairway View - they personally dropped a brochure off at my house, I arranged an initial visit on the Thursday, arranged a visit with dad on the Friday and he loved it from that moment on. No one was more surprised than the family! he has been at Fairway View since mid July, has made friends with other residents, says the staff are lovely and can't do enough for him, and (very important to dad) the food is excellent.

My mum visited Fairway view for 2 weeks respite and ended up staying for 4! She loved it! Living alone with Dementia and Alzheimer's she missed company, this is exactly what she needed. All the staff are absolutely fantastic, soo friendly and caring. Mum made lots of friends and did many activities
while there, she loved having her hair and nails done. We are hoping mum will be able to stay permanently ( depending on finances) in the near future. Big Thank you to everyone, you are all Brilliant!

My uncle is really impressed how clean the home is and how friendly the cleaning staff and the staff in general. Good for rooms as my uncles bottom drawer has been broken for a while (wardrobe big drawers at the bottom)

Impressive environment when we came for a visit. Warm, friendly, welcome. Has more of a hotel feel than a care home. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere with friendly and caring staff. A few teething problems initially, but management more responsive to my concerns, and left me feeling confident that they
would do all they could to resolve which on the whole they did. If people are fortunate enough to be able to afford Fairway View I would definitely recommend it.

My husband was in Fairway View care home for six months respite care. During that time he remained cheerful and clean. Enjoyed all food. Was able to stay in his own room if he wished with a newspaper and a television. Visitors welcomed and given refreshments. All staff friendly and respectful! I would

We cannot thank Fairway View enough for their outstanding care and support. The facilities are immaculate - everything is kept extremely clean and the rooms are comfortable and homely. The communal areas, including the living and dining spaces, cinema and garden are beautifully maintained and offer
a welcoming atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly, caring and professional, making the experience feel very person. The food and drink options are excellent with individual preferences catered for. There are plenty of activities to take part in, adding to the enjoyment of the stay. It is reassuring to know that the additional services, e.g hairdressing, chiropodist are readily available. Clothes are washed promptly and safety is a priority.

Mum took a turn for the worse and had to go into hospital for tests for a few days. The outcome we were told by the hospital doctor wasn't good and Mum would need end-of-life care. We asked if she could return to her care home. Which was no problem. Fairway View put everything in place, the care my
mum received as usual was wonderful, the staff are just amazing and looked after myself and brother as we visited every day. After a few weeks, Mum got stronger the staff were in contact with the district nursing team and the GP and kept us informed daily. Fast forward a few weeks Mum is up and about eating, drinking, toileting and sleeping although she is palliative she is stable. Mum is getting back to her old self, Mum has dementia and must have been so frightened but the staff are with her every step of the way their support encouragement and kindness are beyond words, a massive thank you to everyone at Fairway View.

The staff at Fairway View continues to provide excellent care for my dad as his health and mobility continue to decline, and his care requirements need to be adapted. Great communication and I am involved at every stage. Compassionate and professional and management who are approachable and accommodating.

We visited a number of residential homes in the area before choosing Fairway View for our dad. We were very impressed by the facilities available. But in particular, the welcome and care shown to both Dad and the whole family by all the staff we met, both admin and care staff. It was apparent from the
outset that the residents are very well cared for, with individual needs and the desire to make them feel at home at the heart of what they do. Staff went out of their way to ensure Dad settled in well and the whole family feel assured that he was receiving the best of care.

Fairway View enabled me to have a break whilst knowing my husband was being cared for by a team of excellent and committed carers. Excellent assessment process prior to his stay. Visitors warmly greeted. Telephone contact during his stay was positively negotiated with a handset provided quickly for
him to take calls. Activities and resources stimulated him during his stay. He was treated with respect and dignity and I was reassured of his safety and care. This is all achieved in the context of him being reluctant for a short residential stay.

Alison has a customer service background and joined Fairway View as Front of House Manager in 2016. She has personal experience of a relative living in a care home and feels that she can use this to help others in a similar situation.


She is dedicated and enthusiastic about her role, and about the home, and enjoys building strong relationships with the residents and their visitors. Alison works closely with the Home Manager and Regional Activities Executive to ensure there is always something fun going on at Fairway View, why not pop in to meet everyone and join in with one of the exciting activities?
