It was my mum's moving-in day yesterday and the entire experience could not have been any better for her or me. The ethos of inclusivity, welcoming, and encouragement was evident throughout. Every member of staff was patient, kind, and understanding. Many residents made it their business to welcome Mum, introduce themselves, and invite her to join in. Her room is glorious, I echo all the reviews about the exceptional quality of the environment. The communication throughout the handover phase fills me with confidence too. Everything was at mum's pace and the balance between checking in on us and giving us space at this really difficult time was spot on. I am looking forward to seeing how my mum's physical health improves and how additional socialisation benefits her quality of life. Thank you for taking the time to check in on me and ask how I was, fully recognising the emotional impact that this decision was likely to have on me, whilst putting on a brave face for my precious mum.
