My Mum stayed at Rivendell for approximately 7 weeks after a very poor discharge from hospital having double pneumonia. She had been a very fit lady prior to hospital admission walking easily a couple of miles a day and required no help with self care or in her home.
She was not mobilised during her
hospital stay and when discharged came to my home in Nottingham out of her county of Lincolnshire. It was soon very apparent that she needed more support and care than I could provide to maintain her safety and rehab.
My Mum had given up but agreed to a stay at Rivendell. All I can say is that the wonderful care she received was remarkable and she literally was brought back to life, her mood and mobility improved so by quickly.
She subsequently came out so much stronger, stayed for another couple of weeks with me in Nottingham, where her independence continued to improved resulting in her being able to return home. Without Rivendell she would not have been able to do this, amazing. Thank you

Our mum (and nan) has been here in Rivendell since Easter Saturday 2025.
We cannot praise the fabulous management and care enough. Their kindness, compassion and professionalism is above and beyond.
The excellent facilities offered by Rivendale is exceptional. The cleanliness and hygiene standard
is always achieved to and above anything shy of a 5 star hotel. Thank you.

My mother went into Rivendell for 2 weeks of respite care. I had no problem with anything. Her complaint related to the food (too stodgy) mainly but that was to be expected. And loneliness - but she finds it hard to socialise, so again not unexpected.

The care taken with father in end of life stage was so genuine and heartfelt. He could not have wanted for more. He was spoke with respect and he dietary wished were accommodated irrespective of what they may be... the quality chef went above and beyond as indeed seems to be the ethos at Rivendell.

We recently needed 2 weeks respite care for Dad at short notice and I am so grateful to the management team for coming to see us so quickly to establish Dad's care needs and offer him a room.
Dad was warmly welcomed by both the Rivendell View staff and the other residents and he felt fully included
straight away.
His lovely ensuite room was clean and bright, well appointed and opened onto the secure garden.
He enjoyed joining in with some of the plentiful wellbeing activities provided but also enjoyed being able to spend time quietly in his room with his privacy being respected at all times.
What a truly amazing team they have at Rivendell View.

All the staff are amazing and so patient with some very difficult residents. My Aunt was admitted on urgent respite care. Nothing was too much trouble. Her room rivalled those of a top-class hotel. The care she was given was exemplary.

It was my mum's moving-in day yesterday and the entire experience could not have been any better for her or me. The ethos of inclusivity, welcoming, and encouragement was evident throughout. Every member of staff was patient, kind, and understanding. Many residents made it their business to welcome
Mum, introduce themselves, and invite her to join in. Her room is glorious, I echo all the reviews about the exceptional quality of the environment. The communication throughout the handover phase fills me with confidence too. Everything was at mum's pace and the balance between checking in on us and giving us space at this really difficult time was spot on. I am looking forward to seeing how my mum's physical health improves and how additional socialisation benefits her quality of life. Thank you for taking the time to check in on me and ask how I was, fully recognising the emotional impact that this decision was likely to have on me, whilst putting on a brave face for my precious mum.

As soon as you walk into Rivendell View there is a friendly welcoming atmosphere. The carers are absolutely amazing and look after the residents as it they were their own family.
Their communication with me is first class and I have always been kept up to date with every step of my Dad's care. He couldn't

My Mum recently moved into Rivendell View. The environment is excellent, and the food is great. There is a lot going on to entertain the residents. However, what makes this home stand out is the staff. Each and every staff member have been helpful, kind, and considerate. They go out of their way to

The client is thoroughly impressed by all carers and staff. Particularly one member of staff who was able to reassure the client about personal hygiene issues.

Such kind caring staff who have helped Dad settle into his new home and new part of his life. Nothing has been too much trouble cleanliness is exceptional and great care is given to residents regarding their dignity needs and comfort.
