Such kind caring staff who have helped Dad settle into his new home and new part of his life. Nothing has been too much trouble cleanliness is exceptional and great care is given to residents regarding their dignity needs and comfort. Cannot thank you enough for a time that has been hard for us all.
Thank you for sharing such positive feedback about our home. At Rivendell View kindness is at the heart of everything we do and are so pleased to hear your Dad is happy and settled here. Kind words like these are a testament to the hard work of our colleagues so we really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
The staff have shown great kindness to Mum and offered support and assistance at all times, both professionally and socially and all their efforts are greatly appreciated. Their personal approach to him and myself has helped Mum settle into the home and reassured me that Mum is receiving all possible attention and support in difficult circumstances. I feel confident that Mum's welfare is paramount to the staff.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a positive review of our home. We are pleased to hear you are happy with the quality of care your Mum receives at Rivendell View Care Home and we will ensure your kind words are shared with the team. Again, thank you for your positive comments.
We are so delighted with all that is on offer. The activities, care, food, facilities, housekeeping and physical building altogether make Rivendell the place to live when needs have increased. A big thank you from us all and Dad!
Staff and management at "Riverdell Viiew" were able to me all of mine and my mother's needs, in a totally professional way.
The care received exceeded expectations. We were impressed by our initial visit and the care received throughout respite remained at this high level. The carers delivered a consistently high level of care in a friendly and encouraging manner.
The staff was very understanding and polite.
The best care home within the area.
The activities were very good and regular small games were ideal.
Thank you for your kind review for Rivendell View.
Everything about Rivendell View Care Home is spot on and couldn't be better.
Thank you for taking the time to leave this fantastic review for Rivendell View.
My parents came in for respite care for 2 weeks and all the staff at Rivendell View cared for them really well. Having medical care so easily accessible meant my dad got the care he needed and Mum went home feeling recovered and relaxed. The home is beautiful with a lovely atmosphere and lots of entertainment for the residents. Lots of good food and care, just what they needed.
When you walk into Rivendell View, the welcome is always really good. From the first time I visited, I knew my mum would be well looked after here. Mum is enjoying all the amazingly varied activities. She has been in poor health recently and I have been kept informed extremely well and all the appropriate interventions were taken to ensure she gets the best possible care. A shout-out to her carers who are excellent. Couldn’t ask for a better place for Mum.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we are very sorry your mum has been unwell but she is absolutely in the best place with our wonderful team at Rivendell View. It’s really important, as part of our person-centred care, that not only is your mum well looked after but that her loved...
All the staff are cheerful and professional. The food is excellent with plenty of choice at every meal with snacks available 'on tap' any time. Entertainment and activities is varied and inclusive to all residents. Some 5 star hotels could take a lesson in facilities and staff from Rivendell View's offering. Plentiful parking us available and the garden grounds are starting to get well established so residents and guests can enjoy some sunshine and fresh air whilst still in a protected environment. Coffee/cake shop area, cinema room, hairdressers, chiropody, in-house eye tests, daily papers and even wine or beer available for the evening meal included in the fees! Medical care and laundry is done, a totally different experience to care homes of 20 years ago or some of the lower-end offerings still around. If Rivendell does not meet your needs, I don't know what would.
What a fabulous review, what can we say to that other than ‘thank you’! We work really hard to make sure we tick every box for our residents and their families and it’s so gratifying when that hard work pays off.
From the very first point of contact with Rivendell Care Home I was impressed. From front of house through to care staff, everyone is friendly, professional and supportive. My dad has grown in confidence in the few weeks he has been there. I would not have any hesitation in recommending this home.
We are so pleased to hear we made such a good first impression and then continued to live up to it! It’s lovely to hear that not only is your dad happy but that the home is having such a positive impact on him.
Very happy with the care and support my mother received during a recent respite stay following a stroke. The stay has enabled her to get mobile again in a safe environment and regain her appetite for food. She made a number of friends during her stay and really valued her time there. I would not hesitate to recommend Rivendell View as a care home and if the need arose would be more than happy for my mother to return there.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Respite is a really big part of what we offer, as people sometimes need support to build their confidence and regain their strength. It’s lovely to hear that your mother not only did this but had a good time doing so, and please be assured she will always be welcome to pop in for a cup of tea and a natter with her newfound friends!
My father-in-law was transferred from hospital to Rivendell View recently. I cannot speak more highly of the care home and the care of the staff. The accommodation is beautifully presented, comfortable, light and appealing. The care staff are kind, professional and conscientious. The residents were happy and my father-in-law was excellently cared for. A wonderful care home!
Thank you for taking the time to write such a glowing review! We know that moving a loved one into a home can be a worrying time, especially following a period of hospitalisation, but we are so pleased that our team at Rivendell View have been able to support your father-in-law through their care and compassion. We will pass your kind comments on to the team.
Rivendell View care home is very friendly and the staff are all very caring and take pride in their work. There are plenty of activities on offer for the residents to get involved in if they so wish. The home itself is purpose-built with all modern facilities including ensuite wet rooms, a hairdressing salon, a cinema and plenty of places to sit and have a quiet visit.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we are so pleased that the facilities and staff live up to the high standards we set, ensuring we have a home we can all be proud of.
On approach, the gardens look very well kept and the car park clear of litter. On entering the building, visitors are under cover while a staff member answers the door. All visitors sign in and out, and staff are welcoming, friendly and caring. My friend is very happy at Rivendell View; there are lots of activities for residents to keep busy if they wish. There are adequate staff, so residents are well looked after. Rivendell is a very homely place and should it be necessary, I would be happy and have no hesitation to live there myself.

My mum has been living at Rivendell View since June 2022 after being ill and discharged from the hospital. We viewed a number of homes and were most impressed by Rivendell - and we have not been disappointed in any way. The atmosphere is very welcoming, helped by the open door policy, all staff are very kind and considerate and definitely person focussed in their approach to the care they provide. There is a wide range of activities every day which keeps Mum interested and entertained. The laundry service is fantastic, everything is kept immaculate and the food is wonderful. The whole environment is lovely. Staff keep me informed at every step - I can't thank them enough. It has renewed my faith that moving into residential care can be a positive experience!
Thank you for taking the time to write such a glowing review. We are so glad that Rivendell View has met your expectations and that your mum has settled so well. It is very important to us that our home offers the complete package and it’s great to hear that we are doing a good job. We know that it...
My mum went into Rivendell care home for 4 weeks respite but sadly passed away during this time. My mum was made very welcome into her new surroundings and she would often make the staff laugh as they got to know her quirky ways. I would like to thank all the staff for providing care and support as my mum came to the end of her natural life. Many thanks.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this lovely review during what must be a difficult time for you and your family. It was such a pleasure to have your mum living with us, we hope she enjoyed her time with us as much as we did. Please do not hesitate to get back in touch should you need any further support - you will always be welcome at Rivendell View.
My mum came to Rivendell initially for two weeks' respite but liked it so much she decided to stay. The care home is beautiful and so well looked after but what makes this place so special is the people who cared for Mum they were truly wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble anything to make mum comfortable and cared for both day and night. Sadly, Mum became very ill and died and during this difficult time, the care not only shown to Mum but to me and my family was absolutely flawless. The staff went beyond the call of duty in every way possible I won't ever be able to thank you enough for what you have done for Mum and for us and we will be forever grateful. I would also like to thank the clinical and district nurse team for their wonderful care too. Thank you.

Highly recommended. Looked after my mum in the last year of her life in sometimes challenging circumstances but the care and wider support was first class with staff often willing to go the extra mile. The food is good and plentiful, as are the activities. Everything is brand new and clean and more like a high end hotel than a residential care home. Five stars all round.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this review during what must be a difficult time for you and your family - please accept our deepest sympathies. We are so proud of our team at Rivendell View who put their residents at the heart of the home and we are so pleased that this shone...
Mum went to Rivendell View as she was discharged from hospital before she could manage her personal care. She stayed for two weeks. Care was excellent, carers built up her confidence regarding personal needs which enabled her transition to move home to be smooth. She came home happy and buoyant. She put on weight and she and the family can't say "thank you" enough.
We really appreciate you leaving this feedback for the team at Rivendell View, thank you. It's so good to hear that the team were able to help your mother get her confidence back during her time living with us. Please feel welcome in the home anytime should your mother need any further support in the future.
