During the time my elderly father resided at this care home he was treated with such care, respect, dignity and compassion. A special thank you to the manager and deputy manager (Norma and Danielle) who always made time to answer any questions I had regarding my father's progress in health and well being. The home has a very welcoming set up and my father's room was clean and bright with a patio door leading to beautiful gardens. Highly recommend this home.

Reply from Norma Chennells, Home Manager at Hartford Court Care Home

Thank you for your lovely comments. It was an honour to look after your father - and we will continue to enjoy the flowers. I will pass on your review to the team concerned. Norma

My husband has been a resident here for almost 3 years, he has just moved into nursing care after a very tearful goodbye from myself and the staff. What a team!
So many kind, caring and thoughtful people.
I would highly recommend this home for a loved one, it is purpose built, well run, well designed and well maintained. The link with the local medical practice is excellent, and the social worker does a great job with the residents and supporting the families.
The care is excellent and the activities team do a fantastic job.

I will miss my trips and the wonderful people that work there.

Overall Experience
Our dad has been in Foxton Court for 5 months .
Before deciding on Foxton Court we looked at a number of care homes in the area and we are so glad we decided on Foxton as our dad is so well cared for by a wonderful team of carers at the home . They are very friendly and patient with everyone. They have taken time to understand our dad's needs and have helped him to settle into the home , they care for him in a professional manner whilst being mindful to maintain his dignity at all times.
The culture of the home is obviously driven from the management down who always make time to discuss our dad's needs with us and from the moment we walk into the home and are greeted warmly by the lovely office / reception staff we instantly feel that this is the right place for our Dad .

We have got to know members of the kitchen and cleaning /laundry staff as well as many of the carers and activity team and everyone no matter how busy they are always have time for residents and visitors alike.

Reply from Avery Gibson, Home Administrator at Foxton Court Care Home

We are delighted to hear that your dad has settled in well at Foxton Court and that you have had such a positive experience with every member of our team. It means a great deal to know that the care, kindness and dignity shown to your dad have made such a difference to both him and your family. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful feedback.

Review of Foxton Court Care Home from Elspeth W (Daughter of Resident) published on 26 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Three years ago we called into Foxton, to find a placement for mum who was 99 years old, in hospital, and unable to go home. Our experience of the home over the years confirmed our first impressions. A senior member of staff showed us round, there was a lovely friendly atmosphere with residents chatting with staff as they went about their work. Visually the home was fresh and beautifully styled, the dining tables were set with white tablecloths and wine glasses. Everything conveyed a respect for the residents and a desire to maintain their dignity despite their frailty and need of help. The inventive daily activity programme has been important, as has been the good standard and choice of meals. Mum has put on weight!
Although there is a high turnover of staff, who are rotated through the different floors, all seem well informed, able and kind. Communication is good between staff and shifts, and with the family.

We can rest easy knowing mum is receiving good care from skilled workers.

Reply from Avery Gibson, Home Administrator at Foxton Court Care Home

Thank you for your lovely comments, we are so pleased that your mum is having such a positive experience at Foxton Court. We aim to make sure that every staff member has knowledge of each of the residents' needs, and we regularly rotate staff between the floors to ensure this. If you have any additional questions regarding staffing, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Thank you

Review of Foxton Court Care Home from L M (Daughter of Resident) published on 19 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My Mum has been resident in Foxton Court for just over a year. She was very unwell on admission following a lengthy hospital stay. The staff have looked after her very well restoring her to her current optimal health. They have always responded to any acute changes to her health in a timely way and sought medical assistance as necessary. As her daughter I am reassured that she is in a safe environment with all of her needs being met.
She has the option of a daily choice of gentle activities in the communal lounge. These are varied and the staff are thoughtful in the choices available. Unfortunately mum doesn't engage with these very often preferring to stay in her room which overlooks the beautiful garden. The food is very good with options available each day. Staff generally are personable and accommodating of mum's wishes. Mum prefers some staff over others. She has access to the GP weekly as she requires.

The home is kept clean/comfortable and is a friendly environment to visit.

I will be forever grateful to foxton court and the staff. I feel very lucky that my mother is in their excellent care. The care home have a variety of daily activities, bus trips out and special events. This has helped my mum , as she is a very sociable lady..My mother has dementia, over the past 7 weeks my mother has become very confused and not able to do the things she has been able to. It has been utterly heartbreaking for me and the family. The staff have been very caring, understanding, supportive and kind. Not only with mum but for me also. At this very very difficult time.

Review of Foxton Court Care Home from C C (Niece of Resident) published on 15 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My relative has been resident at Foxton Court, Morpeth since 2024. He settled well and to date remains happy and confident in his environment. He is comfortable, clean, tidy and well cared for. The location and condition of the building are very good with nice gardens and outside space. The interior is comfortable and the standard of cleanliness is good. I have found staff across all departments to be pleasant, friendly and proficient within their remit. I observe care staff to be pleasant, hard working and respectful of residents and their capabilities, individual needs and requirements. However I observe staff shortages within the care team operating at Foxton Court. This requires immediate resolution in order for all to continue enjoying their best quality of life and comforts. Overall I am happy that my relative lives at Foxton Court and continues to enjoy a comfortable and secure quality of life.

As a family, we have been reassured by the way the staff provide care and support for my mother-in-law. Staff are always visible and responsible to needs and make visitors welcome. Staff make the effort to offer all activities and encourage my mother-in-law to take part in everyday life at Acomb Court, which helped her settle in far better than we thought she would have.

I am always happy with the love and care shown to my mum by everyone at Hartford Court, but since she fell a couple of weeks ago their care and concern has been truly exceptional. Great effort has gone into making sure Mum is as comfortable and safe as possible and into monitoring her health - thank you everyone!

Overall Experience

Moved here at the end of November 2025. We were very happy with the pre-assessment and welcome. She has settled into life on the top floor. There are always adjustments to make, and there were some areas of life that regressed. But overall, a calm and successful way of living has been achieved. We have been impressed and grateful for the dedication and flexibility, and most of all, their kindness in caring. We are still at the stage of wishing there was more day to day continuity.

Overall Experience
I moved my mother from a good care home in Leeds to be nearer to me. The care and attention of the staff in Acomb Court is superior to that she was used to and she always has the highest praise for their manner and attention.
I have been impressed with the way everyone has worked hard to help my mother integrate into the community, and have ensured she has been involved in most activities. This includes a number of external trips which have helped to keep her interest in life.

I struggle to find anything of significance to suggest as improvements as Acomb Court is proving an excellent place for my mother to live.

My Mam has been in Hartford since late November 2025.
Before she was very much alone other than family visiting. The dementia was causing her to become a recluse due to confusion and getting lost if ventured out. She is a very independent lady.
Since being in Hartford court she has been much happier, making friends, and doing loads activities, for example it's the care and entertainment employees go above and beyond.

Getting the best out of my Mam. the first time in years I have seen her smiling and joining in the Christmas singing activities. And fun and games that have been carefully organised so that all the residents can join in.

The care and attention I received from all staff involved was, in all respects, exemplary and very deeply impressive. All concerned since my arrival clearly are naturally caring people who have been carefully recruited and appointed. Giving confidence in security and comfort, confidence and security in future stay.

Also, all food so far received to me have been most tasty, sufficiently high in quantity and quality of service than was anticipated. I am impressed.

Review of Acomb Court Care Home from Deborah P (Sister of Resident) published on 13 November 2025 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
We had to bring my sister back to the UK urgently after she had lived abroad for many years and needed care. Acomb Court has been outstanding in supporting us through this initial stage of what could have been a traumatic time for someone with cognitive decline.

Every staff member has treated my sister with kindness and dignity at all times. The care shown and attention to detail has demonstrated a very well run organisation with the emphasis on caring for the individual. The food provided is of a very high standard and communal areas are very pleasant. The rooms are always clean and tidy, as is my sister, who is thoroughly enjoying being cared for at Acomb Court. I would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you.

Although mam was admitted to Ashington Grange at quite short notice, as the hospital needed her bed, everyone went out of their way to make her feel welcome.

Staff have done their best to integrate her with the other residents and encouraged her to join in with various activities on offer. The overwhelming atmosphere is one of support and friendliness from all staff.
