Mam had been at The Eden for over 4 years. During this time the staff had become part of our family. Both Mom and I have received care and help from the staff. I have been kept up to date with any issues relating to Mam and when Mam died in June they were so caring. Clearing her room was going to be
quite stressful but they told me to take my time and not feel I had to rush. I will miss them.

When looking for a care home, this was the first place we visited. I didn't feel the need to look any further. The care home is spotless, well decorated and comfortable and good sized rooms. The staff are very helpful, friendly and always have a smile on their faces treating my mum and residents with
the greatest respect. I'm confident mum is well looked after and cared for in every respect.

My aunt has resided at Grampian Court Care Home for approx 2 years. I could not praise the staff (ALL STAFF) highly enough. They very quickly got to know my aunt and established excellent rapport with her. I know all people are different but they seem to very quickly grasp the way to help her without
her losing her dignity (very important for a proud 95 year old) Would consider staff to be 'friends' now.

Eden House Care Home

from Martyn W (Nephew of Resident) published on 18 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My Aunt and Uncle both went into Eden House within days of each other and, unfortunately, both their stays were relatively short and they died within 3 weeks of each other. However, during their relatively short stay they were treated with dignity and with great care and compassion. My wife and I have
had quite a lot of experience of Care Homes and can honestly say that Eden House was the pick of the bunch.

The nursing staff were outstanding as were the catering staff who went out of there to make my Aunt's puréed food, due to her health, as attractive as possible - as well as being tasty.

My wife and I have no hesitation in recommending Eden House as an excellent place for your relatives to stay.

Eden House Care Home

Following a stroke it was decided care would be needed to help recovery. Thankfully we chose Eden house for this. From the moment I took mam through the doors it was like visiting family. So welcoming. They introduced her to her room and showed her the facilities, explained the procedure to both of
us and within the hour she was settled and enjoying a nice meal of corned beef hash and sponge pudding. The room was basic as expected but clean and functional. Bed and chair were comfortable and adjustable with a lovely view of the garden through her French window. We added photos to her room and some of her plants to the area outside which made her feel more comfortable. During her stay the staff were great and she never went without. Although reluctant to mix she did spend some time with other resident's especially with one of the jigsaws in process. Now back home we are so grateful for the care, help and support the gave to mother and the family. If needed we would use again.

We have had absolutely no complaints since Mum has been here. The carers and other staff are wonderful, caring, supportive & thoughtful and go out of their way to help Mum. The only thing I would change is Mum's carpet, it has stains from a previous client. There is always something going on for the
residents. The Summer festival was wonderful. We are only just starting our journey of self funding and it has been a shock to us the cost of self funding care.
The home and office have been excellent in supporting us.

Reply from Julie Caygill, Hospital Liaison Team Administrator at Grampian Court Care Home

Thank you for your lovely review, we value all feedback as it helps us to make improvements where required and we will share your kind words with the team. Regarding Mum"s carpet a change has been requested and should be fitted very soon. Thank you, once again, for your kind words.

Very impressed with care given to my sister. Staff are always kind & considerate wth a great understanding of her condition - Dementia. Staff are very respectful. Having worked as a district nurse and also a nurse in charge of a local home Grampian Court rates 5 stars to me. Food served is of a very
high standard. Laundry always freshly washed & ironed & rooms always clean. Excellent in my opinion. Activities for residents organised very well, always a fun day.

Although I was reluctant to go into a care home, I was left with no choice as I found myself in a situation where I needed care for a time. I needed a period of recuperation after suffering a stroke. I needed to choose a care home and because of the high standard which I understand the care home had
I chose Lady Eden. I have no regrets because of my earlier reluctance I found that it was very welcoming. The manager introduced me to a lot of the residents for which I was very pleased. I received excellent care from a very attentive staff.

My mother required a palliative care bed. Visited the home and was immediately put at ease by the professional approach, advice and information given. Assessment of care needs made promptly, and a smooth transfer to home. The carer has been very good, all staff are friendly and approachable, respectful
and kind. From all staff, ancillary staff, handyman, laundry, carers, nurses and senior management, we cannot thank them enough for their support for us all at an emotional time. This is a well-maintained home, the rooms are good, and very clean. Hardworking staff and polite care teams. My mother was treated with kindness and care, dignity was maintained, and her voice was heard. Thank you.

Very pleasant care home as soon as you come through the door you get a warm welcome. The residents are always doing something organised by the activities coordinator. My dad is a resident and has been for over a year, he is happy, well fed and content. They have a mini bus and go out once a fortnight
on trips, which my dad enjoys.
