Since arriving at Merino Court a few months ago my Mum has settled in extremely well. She is so well cared for by staff who take the time to get to know her and her likes and dislikes. As a daughter I was concerned about the changes she would face, but I shouldn't have been - it is a home within a home. We are delighted with her care and carers and she involves herself in everything the home does to keep her engaged and active with others

Visiting my aunt in her later years was never the most pleasant experience however the staff at Merino made the experience much easier and upbeat. No question was to silly, no request was to much of a hassle and the staff spent time ensuring my family where kept up to date with my aunt's care. In circumstances like this there are always staff who go above and beyond, however the support my aunt received while in the care home was very must a team effort. There are high expectations of the staff from the leadership team to ensure patients like my aunt received the most effective and empathetic care. I'd have no concerns about recommending Merino court to to others.

Overall Experience

Merino Court is a warm, welcoming, friendly environment. The rooms and communal areas are clean and bright. There are 2 communal sitting areas, 1 smaller and quieter. The staff are excellent. I find them friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and I am kept up to date with mums care. Mum has benefitted from her time here, she is more mobile, her diet has improved and she has company. Mum also enjoys some of the activities in Merino, singers, bingo, beautician, hairdresser, movie days and even armchair exercises. I am extremely happy with mum's care.

Staff are always friendly + happy to assist. They appear to have a very good relatioship with residents, which makes thingsso much better for a loved ones family when they are unable to look after their loved one at home.

Thank you to all - your love and care are very much appreciated.

My mother was at Merino Court for 8 months. The home is a safe, caring environment. Staff were kind, friendly and approachable. Communication with me was excellent and my mother was relieved and happy to be somewhere with 24-hour care. I will always be grateful for all they did and would recommend the home to anyone.

Review of Merino Court Care Home from P O (Sister of Resident) published on 20 August 2024 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

Merino Court is excellent. The staff are wonderful and so friendly. Nurses, carers, domestic, management, it doesn't matter who you speak to, nothing is ever any trouble. My brother settled in very quickly and that was due to the care, attention and compassion he was shown from day one and was such a relief for the family. I would recommend this lovely home to anyone.

Review of Merino Court Care Home from Liz B (Daughter of Resident) published on 12 June 2024 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Although I'm very satisfied with the general care my mother has received over the past few years, it seems recently (the last 6 months or so) that she's often wearing clothes which don't fit her and are not actually hers! Also, new clothes brought in are never seen either on her or in her room, I've been told to put her name on items which I've done several times but it makes no difference. Unhappy to see my mother looking uncared for.
