Review of Littleton Lodge from N L (Son of Resident) published on 3 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My dad absolutely loves being at Littleton Lodge. His mental state and wellbeing has greatly improved since moving in - the ideal place for his needs. The staff are wonderful, caring and attentive - and the activities on offer are superb. He has gone from being withdrawn and lonely, to being a complete socialite! The only negative comment he has is the food quality since the home was recently acquired by another provider. I stress to add that it is not the wonderful kitchen staff, but the low quality of the food produce, which has seen a rapid decline. If this is rectified by the new owners, then the whole facility would be 5 star.

Reply from Carolann Hastilow, Front Of House manager at Littleton Lodge

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. We are absolutely delighted to hear how much your dad is enjoying life at Littleton Lodge. Knowing that his mental wellbeing has improved, that he has grown in confidence, and has gone from feeling withdrawn and lonely to becoming such a social butterfly...

Overall happy that Sedgley Court provides the care that I wont for my wife. Third visit. A little more attention to personal care, such as nails and regular showering would be bedficial, though no major concerns in this area.

Review of Sedgley Court from J C (Wife of Resident) published on 29 June 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

I have never done a review before but I felt Sedgley Court deserved one. From the first contact to enquire about respite for my husband right through to the end of his stay I was treated with so much respect and kindness by all the staff. My husband has dementia and leaving him was far worse than I ever could have imagined, but once again the staff were brilliant caring and reassuring. All the staff treated my husband as a person introducing themselves shaking his hand and just being very warm and kind. I could go on but I will finish with this is a gem of a care home. Thank you all we will return soon.

Review of Coopers Croft from Sarah G (Niece of Resident) published on 19 June 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My uncle moved into Coopers Croft in Nov 2023 and has been really happy and content here. The staff have been amazing and they made made him welcome and cared for. The home itself is fabulous and feels like a 5 star hotel. As visitors it is a pleasure to come and we have felt part of the family. The activities that Anita organises for the residents, family and wider community is amazing, and like nothing/nowhere else. Thanks so much. Highly recommend.

My Father Reg was admitted here for a month's restbite. Just wanted to say a massive thankyou to everyone that works there you all do a fantastic job. Harrison, Charlotte and Carol-Anne especially have had a lot to do with my Dad and been a big help. We have asked a million questions and everything has been answered and catered to perfectly. I would definitely recommend this to other families.

Review of Coopers Croft from Lesley M (Daughter of Resident) published on 12 May 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

From the moment we came through the door the warmest welcome awaites us. My mum instantly wanted to stay for 4 week on the spot. All of the staff at Coopers Croft are amazing I have met pretty much everyone here. The care is exceptional, and everyone is always smiling and happy. There is great interaction with all of the residents and staff and the standard of care and attention to detail is fantastic. I have told my friends and colleagues about Coopers and I would not hesitate to bring a relative here, its that good I could book in myself. When mum makes for assisted living we want to keep in touch and volunteer where we can because one day mum might need to come back. We wish she could stay here.

Review of Chaseview Care Home from James H (Son of Resident) published on 6 May 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My father stayed at Chaseview for the final two months of his life. The nursing staff (Claire, Ellen & Bernie) and care team (Jess aka Bess and Tess, Carla) to name but a few of the entire team were all very good, but most importantly caring and considerate of my dad who at times was finding things difficult. I have had family experience of another care home locally and this far exceeded the care there. I hope this standard of care and most importantly thoughtfulness continues with the new owners.

Mom recently had a spell in hospital after a fall at home, as a family we decided on respite for mom and chose Sedgley Court.
In a few weeks she looks better and seems a lot stronger, the home is lovely, staff are amazing, so friendly, supportive and have made mom real feel at home..

wouldn't have no hesitation in recommending Sedgley Court.

Words can't fully convey our appreciation to all of the nursing, care and ancillary staff that cared for my mother during the final 10 days of her life, making sure that she was comfortable. We would like to thank the nursing staff who ensured we could be at mom's bedside at the end.

Review of Himley Mill Care Home from J M (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 10 April 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

I find the house is often understaffed. Some staff are more approachable than others, there the ones you see rushing about. Would like to see more interaction with residents. Some spend more time with visitors talking. Meals don't always look the best, meat tough, veg undercooked, or too hard for residents to chew. Some places in the home could do with a good clean, toilets, skirting boards, and radiators. See very few activities taking place.

Review of Littleton Lodge from R C (Respite Resident) published on 20 March 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

I dreaded experiencing a care home - even only for 2 weeks respite. I can honestly say I have been pleasantly surprised by the care and help I've received during my 2 weeks stay. There are no "smells" of urine when you enter the building, and rooms are cleaned regularly staff are pleasant and helpful - and he food is delicious and plentiful. A good all round experience well done.

My mother was in Branston Court for a month on release from hospital. We thought the care she received was so empathetic and caring, everything was done for her comfort and all anxiety was eased for her in her final days. All thanks to Ruth and Claire and all the staff with a special mention for Kayci.
