I dreaded experiencing a care home - even only for 2 weeks respite. I can honestly say I have been pleasantly surprised by the care and help I've received during my 2 weeks stay. There are no "smells" of urine when you enter the building, and rooms are cleaned regularly staff are pleasant and helpful
- and he food is delicious and plentiful. A good all round experience well done.

My mother was in Branston Court for a month on release from hospital. We thought the care she received was so empathetic and caring, everything was done for her comfort and all anxiety was eased for her in her final days. All thanks to Ruth and Claire and all the staff with a special mention for Kayci.

Mum was only in Branston Court for four weeks but she was looked after wonderfully by the staff there. Unfortunately she ended up on end of life care for the last week, and they went above and beyond to care for her. So happy with how she spent the last days of her life

Mom is looked after with kindness and care. During Christmas, and the hardship of carers getting into work during the snow. Mom didn't lack any personal care or support. The food as always is lovely (I've tried it). The activities going on in the unit are entertaining and geared towards the nursing
needs of the residents. Mom takes part when able. My thanks to all the care team. x

My dear friend of 50 years was admitted to Chaseview Care Home, towards the end of last year, for palliative care. Her room was cheerful and bright and spotlessly clean. The food was always very appetising and 'homely' - all the staff I encountered were consistently kind, friendly, caring, helpful,
cheerful, sympathetic and empathetic. They were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and they all, from carers to nurses, went that extra mile to help. They made my friend feel very loved and cared for, with genuine kindness and affection. I am so thankful and grateful to all the staff. I can't recommend it enough!! Thank you.

Serious concerns regarding the care my mother received while she was a resident at Littleton Lodge Nursing Home. My mother sustained a fall in the bathroom while in the care of a carer. Following this fall, inappropriate care was provided. She suffered a broken hip and a broken shoulder. Although an
ambulance was called, my mother was dressed by two carers and moved to the dining room before she received any professional medical examination or appropriate first aid. This was completely unacceptable and contrary to recognised procedures and guidelines relating to falls and injury management. A formal complaint was made over a month ago and, while it has been acknowledged, I am still awaiting any examination or outcome, which is extremely concerning. This experience has left me deeply concerned about resident safety, and I would not choose or recommend this nursing home for the care of any loved one.
Reply from Julie Caygill, Hospital Liaison Team Administrator at Littleton LodgeThank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to make improvements where required. We are sorry to hear about your experience and the distress caused to you and your family. Please accept our sincere apologies for the concerns surrounding your mothers care. We are currently undertaking a full review, of the circumstances surrounding the fall and subsequent care provided. We regret any delay in providing an outcome and understand how upsetting this must be. If you wish to discuss anything further, please do not hesitate to contact the home directly.

My dad loves it at Chaseview. He enjoys the activities, especially the animals and Salvation Army choir. The staff take excellent care of him and keep me informed at all times. They have gone out of their way to make Christmas extra special and love to have a chat with him. He feels loved and safe.
A big thank you to management and staff including cleaning team and kitchen staff that keep him well fed.

Coopers Croft is most welcoming to both residents and visitors. The staff from management, carers, hospitality and laundry and cleaners have all been very supportive and pleasant to deal with and great with the residents. The premises are superb as are the rooms and we especially like the garden rooms
which offer privacy and on occasion visitors have dined with residents upon providing 24hr notice. The food is extremely good and varied. We have had no reservations in choosing Coopers Croft for our elderly friend above all the other local care homes we inspected over the last few months.

Dad moved into Littleton Lodge in late October 2025. This has been a big transition for dad (and for our family) but this has been significantly eased by the attentiveness, care and consideration on the care team. All care and support staff take an interest in dad, in both formal and informal interactions.
The care and service delivery which we have directly observed has provided us with confidence that dad is well cared for and in the right place. The home is very well maintained and there are many facilities in the home for residents and families to use and we all feel most welcome to have a coffee with dad or book a lunch with him. Our family also enjoyed an afternoon tea, where we were allowed to book the upstairs tea room and order catering for a very modest cost. Dad loved having so many of his family around him. From the moment we are greeted by the Front of House Manager, the Home Manager or one of the care and support team, there is a positive vibe that permeates the home.
