Mum recieved excelent care; her life was saved more than once, at Avon Court. She later recieved palliative care and a dignified death. We have nothing but praise for all members of staff, we can not fault them. Everyone there knew who she was and who we were without consulting paperwork as it would have been if she had stayed in the hospital. We would recomend Avon Court to anyone.

Our Mum has been on a very fluctuating journey with LBD that has necessitated external specialist dementia liaison. The staff are exceptional here - care assistants, nurses, housekeeping, activities and management all really care and have gone out of their way to respond to Mum's changing needs. Just two of many examples - a care assistant who wasn't even on shift but happened to be in one day for social reasons came and assisted my Mum as she had built a good relationship with her as she was distressed one day - there was a shortage of a particular drink one day that Mum likes and a CA went and got her own drink to give to her. The activities and well being team genuinely try to engage her and put on a whole range of varied fun activities for residents which we have joined in on too. Staff, particularly the now deputy manager, Lisa have kept us informed as we live long distance and been very responsive to feedback and concerns on the rare occasions we have raised them. Thank you.

Came for open day - staff could not have done more, choir were amazing. My Granfie has been here 6 months now, staff are amazing, thank you.

My brother has been at Avon Court now for 2 years, and he has told me he is very happy here. He really enjoyed VE Day very much. He also enjoys 50s and 60s music on the TV in the lounge. I must say all the staff are very good and nothing is too much trouble, so we like to say a big thank you to all the staff. Well done.

My aunt has recently moved into Avon Court, and this was our first time of visiting. We were immediately impressed by the warmth of the staff and the homely atmosphere. We arrived just as my aunt was about to have lunch, and we were taken to see her in the dining room, which was laid out like a proper restaurant - a lovely touch. The staff were actively engaging with her, getting her more involved with the other residents and activities. They were extremely attentive to her needs and very welcoming towards us.

This was my 1st time of visiting my aunt-in-law at Avon Court Care Home. From when we rang the doorbell to our leaving, the whole experience was positive. The welcome when we arrived was warm and the staff member knew where my aunt was and what she was doing. The staff were very kind and caring to the resident as well as being very helpful to us - the visitors! A great 1st impression!

After several weeks, he is much happier in his new room, interacting and being a lot more mobile. It was a decision well made. A big thank you to everyone who helped that day, you made us all very happy. We chose Avon Court to look after dad.

A very warm and welcoming home and very friendly staff. We have been here today to see mum, and there was a wonderful 'sing a long' time / Carpenters singer which my mum enjoyed very much. My mum seems very happy here and enjoys the activities very much. A huge thank you to all the staff for their care and concern. Perhaps my mums room could do with a redecoration as it is a bit tired. But as I say, a lovely, welcoming home for my mum to be in.

I had a great time singing along with a Carpenters tribute today with grandma which was great fun! I can tell the residents here are very well looked after!

We always find the staff friendly, welcoming and caring. The activities are really good and varied. The activities coordinator does her best to plan a varied programme. We had a Carpenters tribute this afternoon and the singer was brilliant - very engaging and lovely with the residents, really encouraging them to participate. The resident really enjoyed it, and we felt very welcome and included. The staff obviously know and genuinely care about the residents - you can tell this by the way they interact.

I am so pleased we chose Avon Court it made the last period of her life comfortable I would have every reason to recommend to others.

My mother has received excellent care at Avon Court. The liaison between the nursing staff and the GP has been proactive and very good. The quality of food is excellent - my mother has always said the meals are very good and usually clears her plate! Avon Court can show excellent attention to detail. On my mothers birthday staff decorated her room and presented a special cake and sang "Happy Birthday". Really appreciated by her and all the family.

Dad has been a resident at Avon Court since Jan 2025. It was a really worrying time for my mum and me as to whether the care would be good but I can honestly say he is in very safe hands. The staff are so kind and really care about the residents and nothing is too much trouble for them. Dad really enjoys the music entertainment and it has a really positive effect on the dementia residents. Well done to the Entertainment Team who work really hard to keep everyone happy.

Since January 2025, my grampy has been a resident of Avon Court Care Home. The positive change in his well-being has been remarkable. The staff's friendly & attentive nature, combined with engaging activities, have significantly enhanced his quality of life. Visiting has become a joy knowing he's in such caring hands.

we liked the pleasant atmophere - we have not been disappointed. Everyone one is so welcoming a smiley-without exception. the staff work extremely hard. The home is seriously understaffed. My complaint- and I am not alone - is the problem visitors have in actually getting into the building. The entry system has been broken for months -promises regarding repair do not happen.

My aunt is in the late stages of Alzheimer's and is being looked after so well in the home. The staff are lovely; so supportive and caring. My aunt is always clean and comfortable. Im very impressed by the level of care she is receiving. Thank you to the whole team.
