Overall Experience

Mam came into Winters Park on the 16th July 2025 and since then she has been very happy. The staff are absolutely brilliant with her and go above and beyond for her. After I have visited her I can go home and not worry about her. Mam is a completely different person to when she was in hospital and its

all thanks to Winter Park. Thank you all so much.

Overall Experience

Our observations are based on 2 and a half hour visits per week. We find the staff we meet kind and caring. We have no connection regarding fees.

Overall Experience

I visited mum twice this week, and each time I come through the front door, I am greeted with friendliness and warmth. Mum is usually sitting in the lounge watching TV or dozing in her chair. She is comfortable and warm, and there is usually plenty going on to keep her engaged with her surroundings.

The carer has just handed us a cup of tea and pink wafer biscuits - lovely! All the staff are kind and interested in the mum's life and family. She is settling down, even though it's taken a little while with our sad circumstances, I am happy that Mum is safe and well cared for. Thank you.

Overall Experience

Have been visiting my friend ever since she went to live there. The staff are very friendly and caring. My friend is very happy there and looks much better due to the staff and regular meal times which she enjoys. If the time comes when I can't look after myself I would be happy to live at Cold Springs

in Penrith providing there was a vacancy.

Overall Experience

I think it is fair to say that were it not for the care, support and love which I have received during my eight month stay at Summerhill is is unlikely that I would be alive today to write this. I am lost for superlatives to describe everything at Summerhill but the words superb and brilliant come readily

to mind. I arrived at Summerhill very ill and leave with fond memories of my time there and with many new friends. I shall keep in touch and visit often.

Overall Experience

I have been visiting a family friend who is a resident in Cold Springs Park for about 2 years, and I have consistently found his care there to be exceptionally good. He is happy there and feels safe and comfortable. The carers are always happy to do their very best to meet his needs. The staff in charge

of care are always accessible and happy to discuss how things are going when we visit. The manager and administrative personnel are also visible and helpful, and so easy to approach.

Overall Experience

Our mum moved into Winters Park in October 2024, she has dementia, we lost dad and the house that they lived in and we took on their dogs so there was a lot of change within a few weeks. Her moving to the home was absolutely the best thing for her (and us) it took a few difficult weeks but she is now

very settled and more engaged than we have seen for a long time and joins in with all the activities her mind may be deteriorating but she is physically quite fit.

Overall Experience

From day one my Mother was treated with respect and Kindness by all the staff at Summerhill. As a regular visitor to the home I was always greeted with a friendly smile and felt that I could approach staff it I had a problem. Mum was able to spend her last days being cared for by people that she knew,

in a calm and comforting environment. My family are so grateful for the level of care that my Mum received as a resident at Summerhill and I would not hesitate to recommend the home to anybody wanting the best for their loved ones.

Overall Experience

My mother in law has been a resident at Cold Springs Park for the past 8 years. My experience of the service provided has been excellent. We are kept up to date on all aspects of her care. Any very minor issues are dealt with immediately. The care given from all staff is delivered in a very caring and

respectful manner. The food provided is of a very good standard in both quantity and quality. The accommodation is kept very clean. She is always very clean and has clean clothes on. Very pleased all round.

Overall Experience

Winter's Park is a very caring and friendly place. The rooms are kept clean, linen and clothes laundered and looked after. The food is good quality and varied. The programme for the week shows enterprise in its activities. Whereas the management is unobtrusive, the staff are most obliging, helpful and

friendly and make you feel welcome. Si the residents are treated with the dignity they deserve, you know they are safe, secure and loved. The overall experience is good value for money.

My friend is a resident here. I come to visit fortnightly. They are well cared for. The food always looks good with plenty of choice. He has a nice room which is always clean and tidy. Activities seem to have a good balance.

Overall Experience

My parents have been at Cold Springs for most of this year - they are settled, well cared for and safe. After years of juggling carers at home I can say that life is much better for them and for me. I know I will get a call if there is a problem and that we will resolve it together. In the meantime,

my parents are cared for by dedicated, kind and skilled staff in a place close to their home. I am grateful to everyone at Cold Springs who helps to make life comfortable for those who need extra help. Thank you.

Overall Experience

After my latest visit to see my dear mother yesterday I felt compelled to post a second review. Sadly Mum's dementia continues to progress but, despite this she always seems very well cared for and devours her meals. Kind and considerate staff go above and beyond the call of duty.
