My mum has been resident in The Birches for 5 weeks now and I couldn't be more impressed. The transition was so quick and easy and mum has settled in so well, feeling at home very quickly. The staff are all fantastic - so welcoming and kind - special mentions to Patience and Angie - and they always stay in contact with me keeping me in the loop and making sure mums care is right. Thank you to all at The Birches.

In my experience, Catmoor is very good. Staff are efficient, friendly and very caring. My friend doesn't always want to get out of bed in the morning, or go to the dining room for meals. Personally, I think it would be better if she were encouraged to do so. She loves going out in the minibus, and that gives her stimulation. Overall, I think you all do a great job. Well done.

My aunt has been unwell recently. The care received has been excellent.

Our mother is now in her second year at The Birches. It is clear that the high standards are being consistently maintained. The carers are kind, patient, and genuinely attentive. Communication is excellent and willingness to answer any questions we have. We feel confident in our choice of care and we extremely grateful to the entire team for their dedication and kindness.

We are very happy with the care my dad is receiving here. The staff know him well and it is lovely to see how they interact with him. We enjoy looking at the photos in his folder showing activities he has taken part in and these can be a good starting point for a discussion. It's always such a welcoming environment, whenever we come and everyone is so helpful. We're so pleased to have found this place and know that dad is being so well looked after.

Staff have been very supportive and have always tried to accommodate any requests that my uncle has asked staff to facilitate. Staff are very respectful at all times.

The staff are great with mum. She is treated very well and the team go out of their way to try to get mum to partisipate in activities.

Our mum has been a resident in The Birches for over two years. We have always been really pleased with the care and support delivered by all staff. This has been fantastic and our mum is really settled enjoying all activities provided. We have no concerns and can't thank them enough for their care and understanding shown to our mum at all times.

Mum has been a resident for around a year now. The care has been very good and Mum has been treated with respect. All the staff are helpful, welcoming and friendly.

I like all things they do for me. I like the activities and the food. I have been here for seven years and I get on with some of the residents. I love going for day trips.

A wonderful residency, great facilities, great food and menu plans, wonderful friendly and caring staff. My gran's mental health and wellbeing has increased dramatically since moving, she is really well cared for.

Staff have been very assiduous in caring for my mother, spending a lot of time trying, (and succeeding), to get her to eat properly communication & feedback to the family from staff has been excellent.

Since arriving at The Birches, Mum has been exceptionally well cared for. The staff are always warm and welcoming, keeping us well-informed about her well-being. The atmosphere is consistently positive and inviting. There are plenty of engaging activities that keep Mum active and happy. Also the food and cakes on offer always look amazing!

Mum has been exceptionally well cared for here since she moved in August 2024. Every member of staff is caring and compassionate and Mum has been made to feel dignity and warmth by all. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The staff have also looked after me when I have visited. Mum has enjoyed the activities as well.

The care review was helpful and informative. The senior member of staff who held the review was able to fully and satisfactorily respond to any questions raised and topics of discussion. It's clear that all staff understand Mum's needs and are managing her care very well.

We always find all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Any requests or enquirers are responded to very quickly. I find the care home to be very tidy any time I visit, as do other visiting relatives.

My wife and I have been visiting Strathtay House Care Home on and off for about 5 years. We have always been treated kindly and helpfully for all this time. Our relations who live in the home are also treated kindly and helpfully by the staff. Our relation like living in the home. Strathtay deserve its current and previous high ratings for care and facilities.

I know there will be many homes in Scotland. They all have to meet a certain standard. However, none will be better than The Birches.
