My friend of many years moved into balcarres which has been an amazing experience for her, she only has great things to share about balcarres, when visiting the staff are all so lovely and always make me feel welcome, offering tea and delicious cakes. My friend has been going on outings which she said

she really enjoys.

Overall Experience

Both my parents have been in Balcarres since January 2023.
They are very well looked after by all the staff members.
The staff are very understanding to both my parents who have dementia.
We are kept fully informed of any issues my parents have by the staff in a timely manner.
All in all, Balcarres

is an excellent care home for my mum and dad.

Overall Experience

I am incredibly grateful to the staff at Balcarres Care Home for the care and kindness they show my gran on a daily basis. She is treated with dignity, warmth, and genuine compassion, which gives our family great peace of mind.
The home is welcoming, clean, and feels like a true home rather than an

institution. I would highly recommend Balcarres to anyone looking for a caring and supportive environment for their loved one.

Overall Experience

Our family's experience with Balcarres has been nothing but positive. From day one, it felt like a true home, not just a care facility. The team treat residents with kindness, dignity, and respect, and always take time to communicate openly with families. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the home

Overall Experience

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Balcarres. From day one the staff have been absolutely amazing with my gran. They care for her with such kindness, patience, and respect, and it is so clear that they genuinely love what they do.
The staff bring real warmth and humour into her days, alongside

their care duties. They are always happy to have a laugh with her, which means the world to us as a family.
I am also kept well informed about how she is doing, and the staff are so compassionate and professional in their approach when talking about sensitive topics, which is appreciated.
Knowing my gran is safe, comfortable, and surrounded by people who treat her like family gives me complete peace of mind. I am so grateful to every single member of staff at Balcarres for the compassion, dedication, and positivity they show every day. I couldn't recommend Balcarres highly enough.

Overall Experience

The care has been exceptional. I have had to speak for my Dad & his usual routine & requirements have been put into action. As a P1 Teacher I feel you are meeting all ther success criteria. All I care about are human rights in the Educational world of GIRFEC, I feel safe for my dad in the phenomenal,

secure environment.

Overall Experience

The staff have been very attentive to my loved who has been challenging in their behaviour. They have continued to attempt to build relationships with my loved one - by getting to know him - his likes/his dislikes etc.

My uncle has been in Ballumbie for almost 2 years now and the level of care he receives is second to none. Our grandmother was in Balcarres for nearly 3 years & recieved the upmost care & respect. Staff were considerate to her needs & personality. When she felt upset or emotional staff were very supportive. All staff took time to get to know her & her family. When needs change staff were quick to rectify

I always found the staff very friendly and always ready to answer any questions I had, and was always kept up to date about her condition. Mum always seemed well cared for. Overall Experience

My husband moved into Lunan Court in May of this year. The staff have been excellent and the care they give my husband is superb, nothing is too much trouble. It is a very happy environment. The staff are very welcoming when family and friends visit. There are plenty of activities residents can join

in and there's regular entertainment. The food consists of nice homemade meals. The rooms are spotless and the laundry is done to a high standard. I am happy that my husband is getting well looked after.

Overall Experience

The care and empathy shown to mum throughout her 2 years at Ballumbie Court was fantastic. Despite mum being non-verbal and immobile, she was treated as every other resident and was in the day room whenever I visited. The staff were all fantastic, always attentive to both mum and us.
