The transition was carefully managed, and the staff helped all the way.
Mum loved it, raved about the staff, the food, the activities and her new friends. Within weeks, she is completely settled, happy and content. We can't thank the staff enough.

My friend of many years moved into balcarres which has been an amazing experience for her, she only has great things to share about balcarres, when visiting the staff are all so lovely and always make me feel welcome, offering tea and delicious cakes. My friend has been going on outings which she said she really enjoys.
They are very well looked after by all the staff members.
The staff are very understanding to both my parents who have dementia.
We are kept fully informed of any issues my parents have by the staff in a timely manner.

The team treat residents with kindness, dignity, and respect, and always take time to communicate openly with families. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the home is clean and comfortable, and activities are thoughtfully planned. Most importantly, my loved one is happy, safe, and well cared for. The staff bring real warmth and humour into her days, alongside their care duties. They are always happy to have a laugh with her, which means the world to us as a family.

I have been visiting Balcarres over many years now and am always impressed with the care and support they provide not only to their residents but to the people connected to their residents. From ensuring as smooth a transition into care as possible to tailoring activities to the personal needs and interests of their residents.
Our mum has been at Balcarres for 4 years. We wouldn't want her anywhere else. We are continually impressed with the level of care and attention, and proactive interaction. All of the staff go above and beyond - care staff, janitorial staff, kitchen staff Totally brilliant.
Our grandmother was in Balcarres for nearly 3 years & recieved the upmost care & respect. Staff were considerate to her needs & personality. When she felt upset or emotional staff were very supportive. All staff took time to get to know her & her family. When needs change staff were quick to rectify for us & always updated us. We were very happy with the care, staff, facilities & her room was always spotless all staff treat residents as their own family.
The facility is fantastic. The staff are excellent. The care of my mother is as if it was their own parents. The food for excellent along with facilities. Always very quick to let us know how mum is. Nothing even slightly negative on the home. 10 out of 10.
My gran moved into Balcarres which has been the best decision, she is so much happier and has made friends that has been a positive impact on her welling. The manager has been a great support to my family throughout the transition. The staff are all so kind and caring. The home has a warm friendly feeling and always welcoming.
