On all our visits we have found the care home to be noticeably clean and the staff have always been courteous and helpful. The lady we visit, who is 93 years old, is very well looked after and she looks better now than she has for years. From what we have seen of the meals/menus they are always interesting and appetising and delivered on time with all the help needed for the old lady. Her room is always tidy and homely.

I have been visiting my friend for many years now and can say that it’s the best home that I have ever visited the staff are so helpful and kind. My friend made the right decision in moving here.

My Uncle has been at this home for 3 1/2 years. Although he doesn't want to be in any care home, this one has been ideal for him. He enjoys his interaction with the staff and they make his day. He doesn't have dementia so doesn't interact with the other residents. The staff are very caring and genuinely compassionate. The management ensure a high standard of facilities.

As all families know, it is a huge decision to have a loved one become a resident in a care home. We have no regrets at all having decided that Balcarres is the place for Dad. Everything about the home is wonderful and he is looked after so well. Staff are always welcoming and will bend over backwards to see to Dad's needs. They deserve all the praise they get.

After over seven years of dad being here, we always find he is being well looked after. Staff are caring and professional and give great palliative care, making dad as comfortable as possible.

Balcarres staff always go out of their way to ensure the best welfare of their residents. My gran has received excellent care and whenever we visit she appears to be happy and well looked after. The staff are always chatty and friendly and her room is clean and tidy, whatever time of the day we visit. Highly recommended and excellent peace of mind for families with family there.

I went to see my friend at lunchtime. Greetings from all members of the staff made me welcome every time. I was offered food and drink to share with my friend. She was kept clean and looked after with care, attention to every aspect of her physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Room was clean, tidied, secured. The quality care is present in the food they serve, in the support they offer and in the atmosphere around.

Everything is perfect.

I recommend this care home as my mother was here for 8 years and reached her 100th Birthday with a full day of celebrations. The staff are very good and the facilities are excellent. I fully recommend this care home.

A wonderful example of a care for people in need. Extremely well run home with excellent facilities to make the residents stay an enjoyable one. The staff are first class and the whole place is very positive with a happy feeling environment.

Every time I've visited my grandmother, I've been so impressed by the care provided by the staff at Balcarres - they are so patient and caring and nothing is too much trouble. They really go the extra mile. She couldn't have been in better hands. Thank you for the work that you do Balcarres!

My mother was cared for in this home for the last four years and eight months of her life, dying here just after her 101st birthday. My wife and/or I visited her two or three times a week when we were at home and were always favourably impressed at the patience and kindness of all of the staff. My mother selected this care home when she felt she was unable to care for herself, and she never had any regrets. I do not believe she would have received better care anywhere.
