I recommend this care home as my mother was here for 8 years and reached her 100th Birthday with a full day of celebrations. The staff are very good and the facilities are excellent. I fully recommend this care home.

A wonderful example of a care for people in need. Extremely well run home with excellent facilities to make the residents stay an enjoyable one. The staff are first class and the whole place is very positive with a happy feeling environment.

My mother was cared for in this home for the last four years and eight months of her life, dying here just after her 101st birthday. My wife and/or I visited her two or three times a week when we were at home and were always favourably impressed at the patience and kindness of all of the staff. My mother
selected this care home when she felt she was unable to care for herself, and she never had any regrets. I do not believe she would have received better care anywhere.

Every time I've visited my grandmother, I've been so impressed by the care provided by the staff at Balcarres - they are so patient and caring and nothing is too much trouble. They really go the extra mile. She couldn't have been in better hands. Thank you for the work that you do Balcarres!

We visited our friend and were overwhelmed by the care and kindness shown to her.
The 'village' in the garden is an absolutely brilliant idea.
The residents are looked after to an absolutely top class standard.
Balcarres Care Home is a lovely place, and it's so comforting to know your loved one is

Visited a friend.
The staff who greeted us were fantastic and let us go to a quiet area to talk.
My friend was very relaxed here and they catered for her every need.

You always leave your loved one assured that they are receiving an excellent level of care.
The home itself is well situated and a very relaxing environment for the

My mother chose to go and live in Balcarres Care Home in January 2014, aged 96. She has nothing but praise for the home and I feel the same. The staff are unfailingly caring and polite and exude kindness from the management and catering right through. Mum is now 101. Despite several health scares, she
keeps pulling through, thanks I'm sure to the excellent care. Nothing is too much trouble. I phone from London every day and if mum doesn't answer the nurses take their phone to her for me to speak.

Totally impressed by the loving care demonstrated by the staff for whom nothing appears too much. The staff display wonderful patience and take a close, sincere interest in the residents. My mother-in-law has been so well treated and this is a comfort for relations who live far away.

I have been a visitor at Balcarres Care Home for many years. The conditions at the home are all as you would want for yourself or a relative/friend. The manageress and her staff take great pride in assuring that the residents are well cared for in pleasant and fresh surroundings. They provide a plethora

Very happy with all aspects of this care home. My husband is very well cared for and has become at home here.
Staff are always so welcoming and friendly towards residents and visitors alike. My husband now has complex needs and the staff are so good with him and attend to him so well.

My dad was a resident at the home but sadly passed away. The quality of the care he received throughout his time was out of this world the care he received up until the end of his life was incredible. The support the family received both from the management and care team was amazing we could not thank
the home enough. I would highly recommend the home to anyone. The food also great.

Balcarres Care Home; it is my mother's home. She is surrounded and supported by staff who care for her and meet her needs. The staff form lasting, nurturing relationships with the residents. This level of care allows the rest of our family to be free of anxiety about my mother. She is safe, secure and
so well looked after, she is encouraged in so many ways to be independent and at home. We as a family are always welcome.

The staff and management team are outstanding. Very helpful and treat my Mum like a friend - they are dedicated to taking care of each resident - could not ask for a better place for Mum.

I have been visiting the home every Sunday since Christmas 2016. I find the staff friendly, helpful and welcoming. My son has Autism and he was Santa on Christmas Day. The manager was very supportive of him doing this and the resident's loved it. Staff say "hi" to him every Sunday and make him feel
happy to be in the home.
I went to a resident/family meeting in March and was delighted to hear all that is happening. My friend, who lives in the home was also in attendance and encouraged to speak at the meeting. The home has a lovely family feel to it. Lovely home.

I find the staff to be extremely friendly, knowledgeable, caring and helpful. They all do 100% for their residents. The home is extremely clean. The cooks do a great job as the food is delicious with plenty of choices. The gardens are amazing, lovely for the residents and their families to sit out,
the shops in the garden are an excellent idea allowing residents to "go to the shops" activities are really good, cooking, baking, crafts, singing etc. I feel so lucky that my mother lives here, she is really well cared for which puts my mind at ease.
