On all our visits we have found the care home to be noticeably clean and the staff have always been courteous and helpful. The lady we visit, who is 93 years old, is very well looked after and she looks better now than she has for years. From what we have seen of the meals/menus they are always interesting
and appetising and delivered on time with all the help needed for the old lady. Her room is always tidy and homely.

My Uncle has been at this home for 3 1/2 years. Although he doesn't want to be in any care home, this one has been ideal for him. He enjoys his interaction with the staff and they make his day. He doesn't have dementia so doesn't interact with the other residents. The staff are very caring and genuinely
compassionate. The management ensure a high standard of facilities.

As all families know, it is a huge decision to have a loved one become a resident in a care home. We have no regrets at all having decided that Balcarres is the place for Dad. Everything about the home is wonderful and he is looked after so well. Staff are always welcoming and will bend over backwards
to see to Dad's needs. They deserve all the praise they get.

Balcarres staff always go out of their way to ensure the best welfare of their residents. My gran has received excellent care and whenever we visit she appears to be happy and well looked after. The staff are always chatty and friendly and her room is clean and tidy, whatever time of the day we visit.
Highly recommended and excellent peace of mind for families with family there.

I went to see my friend at lunchtime. Greetings from all members of the staff made me welcome every time. I was offered food and drink to share with my friend. She was kept clean and looked after with care, attention to every aspect of her physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Room was

My mother was cared for in this home for the last four years and eight months of her life, dying here just after her 101st birthday. My wife and/or I visited her two or three times a week when we were at home and were always favourably impressed at the patience and kindness of all of the staff. My mother
selected this care home when she felt she was unable to care for herself, and she never had any regrets. I do not believe she would have received better care anywhere.

The 'village' in the garden is an absolutely brilliant idea.
The residents are looked after to an absolutely top class standard.

My mother chose to go and live in Balcarres Care Home in January 2014, aged 96. She has nothing but praise for the home and I feel the same. The staff are unfailingly caring and polite and exude kindness from the management and catering right through. Mum is now 101. Despite several health scares, she
keeps pulling through, thanks I'm sure to the excellent care. Nothing is too much trouble. I phone from London every day and if mum doesn't answer the nurses take their phone to her for me to speak.

Totally impressed by the loving care demonstrated by the staff for whom nothing appears too much. The staff display wonderful patience and take a close, sincere interest in the residents. My mother-in-law has been so well treated and this is a comfort for relations who live far away.
