I have been a visitor at Balcarres Care Home for many years. The conditions at the home are all as you would want for yourself or a relative/friend. The manageress and her staff take great pride in assuring that the residents are well cared for in pleasant and fresh surroundings. They provide a plethora

Very happy with all aspects of this care home. My husband is very well cared for and has become at home here.
Staff are always so welcoming and friendly towards residents and visitors alike. My husband now has complex needs and the staff are so good with him and attend to him so well.

My dad was a resident at the home but sadly passed away. The quality of the care he received throughout his time was out of this world the care he received up until the end of his life was incredible. The support the family received both from the management and care team was amazing we could not thank
the home enough. I would highly recommend the home to anyone. The food also great.

Balcarres Care Home; it is my mother's home. She is surrounded and supported by staff who care for her and meet her needs. The staff form lasting, nurturing relationships with the residents. This level of care allows the rest of our family to be free of anxiety about my mother. She is safe, secure and
so well looked after, she is encouraged in so many ways to be independent and at home. We as a family are always welcome.

I have been visiting the home every Sunday since Christmas 2016. I find the staff friendly, helpful and welcoming. My son has Autism and he was Santa on Christmas Day. The manager was very supportive of him doing this and the resident's loved it. Staff say "hi" to him every Sunday and make him feel
happy to be in the home.
I went to a resident/family meeting in March and was delighted to hear all that is happening. My friend, who lives in the home was also in attendance and encouraged to speak at the meeting. The home has a lovely family feel to it. Lovely home.

I find the staff to be extremely friendly, knowledgeable, caring and helpful. They all do 100% for their residents. The home is extremely clean. The cooks do a great job as the food is delicious with plenty of choices. The gardens are amazing, lovely for the residents and their families to sit out,
the shops in the garden are an excellent idea allowing residents to "go to the shops" activities are really good, cooking, baking, crafts, singing etc. I feel so lucky that my mother lives here, she is really well cared for which puts my mind at ease.

Balcarres Care Home is a warm, friendly home from home, not only for the residents but also for friends and family. The care, compassion and love my mum received from all members of staff was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff know residents and family and friends very well and
made us extremely welcome. The manager and staff are excellent and a dedicated team. I am so very glad my mum was there.

The food is excellent and varied.
The staff are very caring and professional and my medical needs are met without complaint.
The outings and entertainment provided are varied and most enjoyable.

Balcarres is a wonderful place, we were treated like the residents from the moment we visited, we were told to help ourselves to tea, coffee and biscuits or if it was time for the residents to have tea we were always included and with any activities that were going on as well. We were also invited for
a meal as well. Nothing was too much for the staff and they always were calm when confronted with different situations that occur sometimes with the residents. The rooms were lovely, spacious and bright and clean. We enjoyed going every day and got to know quite a few of the residents. Would be very happy to go there myself.
