We have been welcomed and reassured that nothing is too much trouble. All staff are cheerfully patient with my husband who has complex needs. Suggestions are discussed and where possible ideas are accommodated. My questions are answered in full. A care home is not the best place to be but if necessary
this one is recommended.

Mum spent almost 7 months in the dementia unit at Cairnie Lodge Care home, and the family were happy to see mum settled in so well from the first day she arrived there. She loved all the staff and the staff loved mum. She was content and we knew she had all the support and nursing care she would need.
She was very well cared for as she deteriorated and lost her mobility, and all the time the staff were very compassionate and cared for mum with such dignity. To that first chatty smiling hello as you opened the door and to all staff who kept the family fully informed of mum's welfare and cared for her, what a difference this made to our first time experience of a care home. We would not hesitate to recommend Cairnie Lodge Care Home. Thank you

The home is absolutely great, all staff very helpful and nothing is any trouble for them. My relative is fairly new to this home. I am very pleased so far.

My son is very disabled and needs help with dressing, washing, shaving and toileting. The carers do a very good job when working with him. They show respect but at the same time, chat, find out his interests and act on what they find out. He has been there for one month and I cannot believe how well
he is getting on. We were so lucky getting him into Cairnie Lodge Care Centre.

My mother has been in Cairnie Lodge for over a year and the staff could not do more to make her stay comfortable and homely. She enjoys the activities that are provided and loves the staff. They are friendly and caring and look after the residents well.

Father within the Alzheimer's facility of the care home and was able to obtain a respite space in the other nursing home for my Mother.
The staff have been excellent throughout a stressful period for me and helped me with getting her a room. Always show great care towards both my parents.

Since my sister's admission to the care home with dementia and Alzheimers, I have found her care, and safety very good. All the staff are excellent and very easy to approach if you have to ask any questions. I would recommend the care home to anyone if asked.

I'm so grateful to all the staff at Cairnie Lodge. My sister spent time in another care home and was expected to sit all day and night and complained when my sister wanted to go out into the garden.
My sister is now in a caring environment where she can go out in the garden at any time she wants to.
The staff spend time with her in the garden, the office, and in the home itself.
It's such a weight off my shoulders and mind knowing she is in the safe hands of Cairne Lodge.

We are more than happy with the care Mum is receiving. There are certain things that need to be addressed i.e. things going missing from her room, especially her bottom dentures which have been missing since she arrived here.

In pleasant, comfortable, and caring circumstances, I have been given the opportunity to gently receive from my workers.
I have had excellent support from staff caring for me, who have been positive and cheerful.
I have been given time and support for my mind and body to gently return to a positive
outlook, helping me to recover my strength. I appreciate all the care I have received from every care worker with whom I have been involved. The unit is attractive and welcoming, staffed by cheerful and helpful care professionals.

After a see-saw round of events post hip surgery which led to Mum being in two hospitals then contracting Covid and being in isolation for two weeks, words cannot express how grateful we are as a family that Mum was eventually transferred to Cairnie Lodge Rehab Unit after almost six weeks. What the
staff at Cairnie have achieved in three weeks we wouldn’t have believed. Everyone at Cairnie Lodge from the Office staff to the laundry girls, the activities-co-ordinator to the hairdresser all greeted us with a smile and encouragement during Mum's stay. All staff in the rehab unit including the physios and podiatrists etc are totally committed to all aspects of their work with a caring, considerate and fun approach to the residents bringing them together at meal times and making it a very homely atmosphere.
During her three-week stay apart from being fed almost 24/7 (her words) she had a visit from the Easter Bunny, a hairdo, manicure, bingo and a coffee morning. Excellent care!

My mum came to Cairnie Lodge in May 2023. I feel she is well looked after and staff are so lovely to Mum and myself. Mum is always relaxed and smiling at staff so I know she feels safe. Only negative is that sometimes there is not enough staff on shift and they don't get to spend enough time with each
resident.

My mother has been in Cairnie Lodge for 3 months - firstly in hospital rehab and then respite care awaiting transfer to nursing home in home town.
She has been treated with the utmost respect by staff and has been well looked after and cared for.
As a visitor I have found all staff reception, kitchen,
laundry, cleaning and nursing care to be very friendly and helpful and the home has a welcoming atmosphere and is spotlessly clean!

My mother-in-law has had an excellent rehabilitation experience in Cairnie Lodge.
All aspects of her care were very good, staff were excellent.
She has now retired home and is doing really well at home.
Family would recommend this unit to anyone requiring proper rehabilitation following a period
of illness.
