My pros and my cons of this care home:
As the daughter of a resident here and has been now for some time I find the staff and the home itself absolutely impeccable, Some more than others but all with a good heart and always greet you with a smile. A particular member of staff who I personally feel
goes above and beyond for every one of the residents From singing blow drying the woman's hair to making sure the men are all well groomed, He's an asset to the company. A particular lady is absolutely fabulous and nothing too much bother for her and another lady who does everything and anything is a delight to see. The kitchen staff always rustle up great lunches and I like the fact meal times are kept private, I feel comfortable leaving my parent here knowing he's in very safe hands. My only downside thought is I think I would say is that I feel the residents who are upstairs could be motivated a bit more rather than just being left to wander or sit and sleep. Regardless of whether they can or can't do that particular activity at least try.

My elderly neighbour moved in and I came to see her. She looks well cared for since moving in.
She is always doing activities with the coordinator.
I have had lunch here in the home, it is amazingly put on by the staff. The kitchen food was good.

My mum has been at Riverside for some time now, she enjoys the company and activities. I have seen a huge improvement since coming to the home. This makes it easier to leave her as I know she is safe.

I opted to move into a care home to be closer to my friend in Dundee. This place has made me feel welcome, the staff are lovely and ever so helpful. The food is good and we sit in a quiet lounge, all us ladies that lunch every day. I cannot express how kind all the staff are.

My mum was in a care home in Edinburgh and this care home is miles above. The staff are so helpful, they smile all the time. One carer is excellent with my friend. Good activities too, always something happening. Any concerns the manager sorts out right there. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

My mum became a resident at the care home in June 2023. She has received great care from the staff who have looked after her in many ways. The staff are very friendly and obliging, nothing is too much for them. The senior staff and management liaise greatly with the family.

Overall, the care in the home is fine. The care staff are very good with my mum. My only issue is that communication from the home is not always consistent.

My overall experience of Riverside View Care Home is not great but I am particularly unhappy at the ongoing lack of resident activities which, as you know, play an important role in the mental/physical well-being of individuals. Even when an "activities" person has been in post, they were, in my opinion,
not fit for purpose. Activities are sadly lacking in Riverside View.

I would highly recommend this home to anyone.
The staff are very pleasant and approachable. The care for our dad has been exemplary. The staff are very caring to the residents and we never seen anyone hanging around as they are always attending to the residents. The staff always do a lot of interacting

I found the staff, nurses and management very friendly. I was kept up to date with Mum's care. The home and Mum's room was kept clean, Mum was kept clean. The staff were great when Mum died, they couldn't do enough, very helpful. Five-star treatment by all!

The staff here are very good, they banter back with me and I have a very dry sense of humor. They are very supportive and even help me keep in touch with my wife which is important to me. The staff are always willing to have a chat with coffee and biscuits which makes me feel valued.
