Merino Court Care Home, situated in the residential area of Greenock, support older people to lead their best lives with personalised nursing and nursing dementia care.

This friendly home offers many areas for residents to relax and socialise with friends and family as well as fantastic amenities which include a lovely garden which is tended by residents, on-site hair salon and hobby room.

The catering team at Merino Court understands the nutritional needs of older people and creates delicious meals to ensure a lovely dining experience for all residents and visitors. Home itself is always clean and tidy.
Any requests to change anything in my mothers room is carried out quickly & professionally.
Care is very very good and all staff cant do enough to make the residents and visitors feel comfortable and listened to.

Overall this residential facility ticks all the boxes. Residents are treated extremely well, as a visitor I have been treated well. Staff are very friendly and helpful all willing to answer any quires.

Staff and care have been excellent since my sister came into Marino Court Care Home. She feels secure in this home is content with care she is receiving. I have noticed a vast improvement in her since coming here after being in hospital.

Merino Court is excellent. The staff are wonderful and so friendly. Nurses, carers, domestic, management, it doesn't matter who you speak to, nothing is ever any trouble. My brother settled in very quickly and that was due to the care, attention and compassion he was shown from day one and was such
a relief for the family. I would recommend this lovely home to anyone.

Although I'm very satisfied with the general care my mother has received over the past few years, it seems recently (the last 6 months or so) that she's often wearing clothes which don't fit her and are not actually hers! Also, new clothes brought in are never seen either on her or in her room, I've
been told to put her name on items which I've done several times but it makes no difference. Unhappy to see my mother looking uncared for.

After the long protracted death of his wife of 55 years, my Dad lost over a third of his body weight. This had a detrimental effect on his mental outlook on life unsettling his dementia as winter approached. After only 2 months of the Merino's 6 meals a day not only has he regained weight but he is
enjoying books again! His favourite picture is up in his room which looks out onto quite a busy street and, his mental focus and interest in life has returned.
Now, 9 months on, he is quite happy with the daily routine and the odd bit of entertainment/ pony visits and the occasional visitor. The peace of mind this has given me makes the care fees, which are lower end of what I found out there, worth every penny! Having sampled the food and on site baking myself I can see why he has put the weight back on. I cannot thank the Merino enough for transforming Dad's life but also giving me my life back and with peace of mind that he is well cared for and, with dementia, as happy as he is able.

My mum has been in Merino Court for a few months now. The staff are wonderful and my mum has settled well. They care about their residents and it’s apparent in everything they do. Doesn’t matter the time of day I visit but I am always welcomed. Staff have got to know my mum but as well as getting to
know her, they have taken the time to get to know her family too. There is strong leadership and the support from everyone in helping Mum settle has been fantastic. It’s her home and they make it feel like her home. I have experience of many homes through various family members over the years and Merino for me stands out. Putting a family member in a home is a very difficult decision but my mum is safe, cared for, respected and looked after and couldn’t ask for better.

My gran was in the Frail and Elderly unit of the home and was treated with the most respect and dignity, she was indeed spoilt by staff, the staff were attentive and caring. Amazing home. My granda was also in the Home and he also had the best care following 2 other placements failing.

The staff are excellent, friendly and approachable. The manager is excellent, listens to concerns. The room is spotless, can't fault it. My mum is clean and tidy, she is included in all activities. Excellent holistic care. I'm delighted and have peace of mind. The food is superb with great choices.
Best decision I have made. Mum appears settled and I have peace of mind. The staff are chatty and helpful - a lovely home.

Management and staff are friendly and approachable. Everyone in the home is kind to my mum and very considerate of her wishes. She is well cared for by staff who appear genuinely fond of her, many of whom will share anecdotes of her behaviour and activities with me. I don't have to worry about mum anymore
now she is there.

Merino Court is excellent. The staff always know how my mum's kept, how she is each day and what she is enjoying - the live singers - she loves them! The staff are truly amazing; admin, management, nurses, carers, cleaners, and laundry. Mum loves the food too. She is happy here - arrived a year ago.
We have peace of mind that Mum is so well cared for.

Mum has just moved into Merino Court and is already thriving. All the staff have been fantastic, making Mum really at home. She is looking forward to getting to know the other residents and having fun at the various activities. All the staff have been amazingly friendly and kind to Mum.

While Mum was a resident in Merino Court Care Home, she was well cared for. All the staff were wonderful and eager to help, and I knew Mum was safe. They always informed me if there was any change in Mum, and I can't thank them enough for all their help.

After hospitalisation, our father's health would be non-recovery. we had to make a decision on his personal care plan. We looked at various accommodations before reaching a decision that he would reside within this establishment on visiting here we felt that this was the place that would make Dad feel
at home whilst receiving the best care available As a family, we made the correct decision. Our father was given the due care and attention that we craved when he needed to be comfortable. From the first moment Dad arrived, he was given 100% attention from all departments nothing was ever a problem or issue for these people and over and above. When our Dad's health deteriorated in any way we were informed instantly and given the required information with regards to any treatments given to our dad the staff gave 100% care and attention to our Mum in Dad's final days and the support she received was outstanding, 100% would highly recommend this lovely place when considering care options.
