The staff and care at Bowbridge are exceptional. How well they know the residents, how they interact with them and care for them is heart warming. They are also so welcoming and caring to the family and friends of the residents. My Dad is very happy here and that is incredibly reassuring for his family.

Bowbridge Court is always welcoming. The staff are polite and exude kindness. They have a rapport with Mum and make her visitors at ease.
Having lived a life of independence "winning Mum over" wasn't easy. Thank you for the dignity and safety you now give her.

We have felt so grateful for the care our 93 year old mother has received at Bowbridge Care Home. The staff are amazing and the home has a wonderful friendly, welcoming feel to it. It is always clean and tidy and both staff and residents seem happy. Communication with family members is exceptional and
the home put on an incredible variety of daily activities for residents. Having an on site hairdresser is also a very welcome service the care home provides.

My mum came to Bowbridge Court after a few hospital stays and a few months of home care. She was lonely and frail. We chose Bowbridge because of the 'good' rating, it looked nice after visiting, and the closeness to my home. We've been delighted with her care, the helpfulness of all the team - from
reception, to the entertainment team, but especially the care team and supervisors. So glad we chose Bowbridge Court.

My mother has been at the home for 3 1/2 years. Her level of engagement has been declining. I am able to alter my visits to best suit my mother as I recieve a newsletter with diary for the week.
I now like to meet my mother for the coffe and cake on a Friday. It is a good opportunity to see other resident
families and staff.
I like the initiative of staff sharing their training regarding dementia

My husband had 4 weeks respite care in Bowbridge Court where he was extremely well looked after. He went in as an emergency due to recovering from double pneumonia and struggling to walk. The staff encouraged him (with patience) to walk and join in the activities, which he came to enjoy. The cleanliness
and the food were extremely good, also the laundry dept kept his clothes clean. He always looked nice when I visited. He was treated with kindness and nothing was too much trouble from the staff.

I visited my brother who has been at Bowbridge Court for 3 weeks on a trail months period. He was clean, well dressed, sitting in the lounge where he likes chatting with other residents. Dad was discharged from hospital to Bowbridge Court after two weeks of being unwell. He was frail, tired and completely overwhelmed. On arrival at the home, we were greeted by the friendly staff, who immediately got to work setting dad in to his room. I now able to have lunch with dad and I left him

It has been very interesting. Got to know some wonderful people whom I shall miss when I leave.
I was looked after a LOT. Wonderful, if I was on medication + need care. I just limp on a rollater.
As I am on a veggie easy-to-eat diet I get special wonderful food, esp. The curry
It was a bit intrusive.
Ones door being opened at 2. AM letting in the light + waking me up. As a poor sleeper I often did not get back to sleep. Also they might knock

This was a difficult time, of illness, anxiety and unwanted change. All of the staff, but particularly those in senior roles, were exemplary. Not only did they treat you as an individual, they treated you with such professionalism, sensitivity and with humour, it felt like home from home - yet you felt
safe and in the knowledge medical needs were met. Great communication with friends and relatives. Heartfelt thanks.

My mum has been a resident for over seven years and, in all that time, we have never had any concerns relative to her well-being and the care she has been given. The staff are wonderfully attentive and have, obviously, learned her likes and dislikes and the best way to treat her and try to put a smile

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.754)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.754) out of 10 for Bowbridge Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 33 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 33 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.754 for Bowbridge Court is calculated as follows: ( (302 Excellents x 5) + (81 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 390 Ratings = 4.754
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bowbridge Court is based on 33 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 54 registered maximum number of service users is 10.8, which has been reached with 33 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
