I would like to thank the nursing team, my father was only in Plas Cwm Carw for a shot time(7 weeks) but I can honestly say the staff were amazing from day 1, they are so friendly and caring, they treated my farther with dignity and respect, and welcomed my mother and i every day when we visited, when
it came to end of life, the nursing staff were fantastic, keeping us updated on my fathers wellbeing, even at the end, they were caring and informative to what would happen next.
I would like to thank each and every nurse and care assistant that looked after my father, you do a fantastic job

My experience of Plas Cwm is that I am made to feel welcome when I visit staff from management down to housekeeping are very friendly my brother has only been there since August but has settled well and gets on with all the staff (many of which he calls his friends). Activities are amazing and singers
interact with the residents. Staff work hard on a daily basis, especially with entertainment and involves all residents, getting up to dance with them if residents choose to do so.

Overall I am very satisfied with the care my mother is receiving I have sometimes noticed lack of communication due to staff changing so much. The laundry service leaves much to be desired- My mums clothes etc- are all labelled with embroidered name tags that are very securely sewn on- yet the clothes
seem to get lost and often other peoples clothes are in her wardrobe- also my mams hearing aids have gone through the wash twice- as pockets are not checked! Also clothes are not sorted before being washed. Most of my mothers "white" underwear is now dirty grey and some missing.

We have been actively working on staff deployment to ensure greater consistency within our communities. We are very sorry to hear about your concerns regarding your mum's clothing. Unfortunately, high temperature washes can sometimes affect the colour of whites, but we are exploring alternative solutions to maintain their quality. Additionally, we are working hard to implement a more robust labelling system to minimise the risk of clothing going missing. We have also reinforced communication with our laundry team to ensure extra care is taken when returning residents' clothing. Staff are reminded to check pockets carefully, we will continue to ensure that important items such as hearing aids are handled appropriately and not going through the wash. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

My uncle has settled in very well and the staff have welcomed him from the start. Staff go above and beyond in their job roles.
They work really hard providing activities for the residents and always get them involved if the residents choose to do so.

My mum was moved here from another home, well I'm so happy because I see my mum so much happier, she loves it here. The staff go above and beyond for the residents nothing is too much for them, there is a lovely garden, and lots of activities, and the rooms are beautiful with en suite toilets. I love
the fact that they hold meetings every few months just to keep up to date with the family. When I take my mum out, after a couple of hours she asks to go back, so that to me means she feels safe and it's her safe space, cannot fault this home.

My husband is not an easy man because of his dementia. Plas Cwm has managed him and his condition very well, he is always clean and tidy and has been offered food even if he will not eat it. His dementia can make him very challenging but he has received nothing but kindness at this home.

My wife moved to Plas Cwm from another care home about a fortnight ago. The previous staff and home were very good but I feel much happier in this establishment. The staff are very obliging and there is a homely feeling at the home. The security is so good.

We moved my mother-in-law here last July 2023. The care she receives here is amazing, nothing is too much problem, the staff cannot do enough for my mother-in-law even though, due to her condition, she is hard to look after.

Always welcomed by all the staff and management. Dad's quite happy and loved the staff chatting with him (even though he can barely hear). Can be grumpy sometimes and and refuses to join in things but that's just him.

Mum and I would love to thank all the staff at Plas Cwm Carw for all the care and support they have provided and continue to provide for my auntie, she is safe and doing very well as she was quite poorly this year and the staff were very informative and got her seen straight away by the hospital resulting
in her now being well again. Can't thank them enough for the care and support which is always given.
The moving around was a worrying time but it all went very smoothly and my auntie took to it very well. My concerns were treated with respect and I was listened to. The staff have been very supportive, all the way through.
We are coming to the end of another year and the staff throughout these difficult times have been very busy, but always put residents' priority first.
I would like to wish all staff a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to come.

From July to September 2023 my mum was a resident there. Overall the care she received was very poor, staff not trained to deal with elderly mentally infirm residents.
Very poor hygiene, staff never interact with residents, just park them in front of the TV. Maintenance in the home was very poor, overall
a shocking experience for my mum and the family.

I would like to thank all the care staff for the care you gave to my mam during her short stay. My mam always looked beautiful her room was always clean and the staff were always friendly and helpful they are a credit to the home, when my mam was end of life, they really did look after us all with privacy
and dignity, the management was always friendly and helpful. I would recommend this home for your loved one, huge thank you again.

My dad is regularly left alone in his room, sometimes bed sheets open with no dignity, catheter full and I've asked for it to be emptied. Carers are very busy and I appreciate all they do for my dad, just a little more care and attention would be wonderful.

Overall experience over the last couple of years is generally very good.
A lot of new staff, which I have got to get used to, but all in all everybody is very polite and caring. The only time I have a problem is when I ring the home a few times in one day, even if I get through, nobody in the office
picks up. It's not a new problem. I realise they're busy, but is very frustrating.

My mum came to Plas Cwm Care Home four months ago for her end of life care. From the very first visit until she passed away on 22/10/2022 everyone has been amazing, there were all angels who looked after my mum like a member of their own family. Day staff, management and night staff, everyone was incredible.
I only wish my mum had had the opportunity to be involved in all the amazing events they have there, simply amazing staff and I can't ever repay how incredible everyone was.
