From our first visit I was truly blown away Hepworth House is out of this world definitely a 5* care home. We decided as a family that it was the perfect place for my Dad to move into. He moved in December and quickly settled. Everytime we visit he's got a smile on his face which is so reassuring to
us. Everything is to the highest of standards, the staff from front of house to carers are fantastic, anything you ask them is never no trouble. I would recommend Hepworth House to anyone who is in the same position we were in the end of last year.
Reply from HC-One Limited, Administrator at Hepworth HouseWe'd like to take a moment to thank you for leaving such a wonderful review of our home. It means so much to our colleagues when they receive this level of praise; they work tirelessly throughout the year to deliver the kindest possible care to residents and hearing such fantastic feedback is really the icing on the cake to them! Thank you, once again, for your kind words.

My Auntie is a resident here, she has settled in so well and made lots of new friends. The rooms are lovely and homely, I could move in myself!. There's lots of activities to choose from daily and she is very happy with the staff. The best care home I have visited and would recommend it to anyone
thinking about it.

We were impressed from our first visit, and resident settled in well. She is a dementia sufferer, so it wasn't easy to get a reliable response from her, but she always seems clean, tidy, comfortable and contented. Contact with staff was positive throughout her 2 weeks stay.
Would recommend to others
- in fact, we already have done.

My mother in law has been at Hepworth for about 18months and we could not be happier. She really enjoys being here and the staff could not be nicer and kinder. Mum is always clean and dressed well and loves the food and refreshments. There is always entertainment and things for them to do. Other homes
we visited seemed to just have residents sat looking bored and Mum is a very active person. She even joins in dusting and setting tables for dinner and it is the little things that make her feel valued and wanted. The staff numbers are good and they are all well trained. If there are ever any medical issues at things to worry about the staff are very proactive and the communication with the family is just right.
Keep doing what you are doing.

My grandma came to Hepworth House for respite originally, following a couple of falls at home, but she is now a permanent resident here and I couldn't be happier. The staff are so lovely and they always update me with how she is doing. It's absolutely spotless, my grandma has a beautiful room and she
is really well looked after. The staff genuinely care about her and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you to all the staff that have made my grandma feel so welcome!

My late mother resided here for just over 2 years. The staff employed in this home are excellent care givers and it was evident that my mum was genuinely loved and cared for. As a family we can only express our utmost thanks and appreciation to all those involved in caring for mum and ensuring her
quality of life was as good as it could be. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home, it's rated outstanding and that is how I would describe the home, its staff and the quality of care that was delivered to my mum. THANK YOU

I received a warm welcome in reception & assistance in finding my friend's room and a vase for some flowers. It is fresh & spacious. My friend's room is also spacious & comfortable with a large bathroom, TV, fridge, etc & a view of the surrounding area. The lounge looks open & comfortable, with large
windows looking into the garden. There is ample parking for visitors. I was very reasured to see what a comfortable, caring environment my friend is now living in. The staff were excellent, friendly, polite and helpful.

The staff and management do an amazing job in difficult circumstances. There are some really nice touches for visitors, coffee and cake etc. Since HC1 took over Mum thinks the food budget has been cut and says the meat/fish element of meals is meagre.
The majority of staff go above and beyond - listening
to any problems or worries and are quick to try and resolve any issues.

Immaculate, bright, clean and spacious with a friendly, warm atmosphere. Just like home should be for those living here ! The staff are professional and caring and this shows in the way they engage and support everyone with a smile, resident, relative or visitor. My Dad moved into Hepworth House in
2023 for help with his Parkinsons and Dementia and he was cared for by the team with great kindness and compassion until he left us all recently. Mum is also a resident and it is reassuring knowing she is safe and happy making new friends and taking part in activities and events. Thank you everyone at Hepworth House.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.839)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.839) out of 10 for Hepworth House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 33 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 33 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.839 for Hepworth House is calculated as follows: ( (335 Excellents x 5) + (49 Goods x 4) + (7 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 391 Ratings = 4.839
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Hepworth House is based on 33 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 66 registered maximum number of service users is 13.2, which has been reached with 33 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
