I enjoy watching my mum singing and playing ball games which she enjoys, as arts and crafts she doesn't like joining in.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at the home for a couple of years now, and our family has been very happy with the care and support she receives.
I also have a slightly different perspective because I previously worked at the home as a carer myself, so I know first-hand how much work goes on behind the scenes and how demanding the role can be.
The staff genuinely care about the residents and treat them with kindness, dignity and respect. It gives us a great deal of reassurance knowing that my mother-in-law is being looked after by people who know her well, understand her needs and make sure she is safe and comfortable.

The staff genuinely care about the residents and treat them with kindness, dignity and respect. It gives us a great deal of reassurance knowing that my mother-in-law is being looked after by people who know her well, understand her needs and make sure she is safe and comfortable.
Having experienced the home both as an employee and now as a family member of a resident, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. We're very grateful to the team for everything they do for her.

My mother has been at Daneside Mews for a year and 7 months and I believe she likes it there. Whenever I can get there the staff are friendly and seem very caring. It must be such a difficult job and they always seem to be smiling and happy to be there. I'm always kept informed of any issues...
My mother has been at Daneside Mews for a year and 7 months and I believe she likes it there. Whenever I can get there the staff are friendly and seem very caring. It must be such a difficult job and they always seem to be smiling and happy to be there. I'm always kept informed of any issues regarding my mother's health. I live a few hours away and so it's nice to know she is being cared for so well. Sometimes I can't be there however for any emergency A&E visits so it would be really helpful if she could be accompanied but I understand it's probably a staffing issue. I'm very pleased overall with the professionalism and care given.

My wife is incredibly happy at the home. The staff treat her with the utmost dignity and demonstrate complete professionalism in everything they do - nothing is ever too much trouble for them. The quality of the food, the excellent entertainment, and the staff's dedication to keep the residents happy are outstanding. They always have a kind smile and a word of comfort ready.

I really can't speak highly enough about Daneside Mews. From day one my cousin age 93 was treated with great care and kindness. Unfortunately she was in need of NHS care and on leaving hospital Daneside could no longer help her. But we were grateful to them all.

Everything overall seems to be fine. The main concern is that there never seems to be sufficient staff on the floor, e.g. most times when visiting there are only 2 staff to be seen! Is this enough? This is reviewed regularly to ensure we always have the right number of team members on shift to support those in our care. Where needed, staff from neighbouring services or agency staff can be used to maintain continuity of care. We have been to visit a friend on various occasions starting with the Carol Concert (Dec 24). We are very impressed with the home it give a very homely vibe. The staff are caring and friendly and nothing is too much trouble it is nice seeing the residents so happy.
