Lauren Court care home, located in Blacon, on the outskirts of the beautiful city of Chester, provides personalised residential care to older people.

Offering luxurious accommodation, round the clock care and good home cooking, the friendly home is situated in its own grounds and has private lawn gardens and a secure patio area, a perfect place to sit outside and enjoy the weather on those summer days.

This is the second care home our dad has been in and it is by far the better. Since he has been at Lauren court he has been so much happier. The care he receives is second to none. Every time we visit the staff are all very friendly and helpful, makes you feel very welcome. Any problems we have had
have been addressed immediately When dad has had a fall we have been informed straight away. Feels like an extended family when visiting. All staff are extremely friendly and very approachable. Children are made to feel very welcome and made a fuss of by all

I stayed for rest bite why my family went on holiday, l cannot praise everyone enough,
The care, the food, the friendliness. Activity, l went to the Zoo. Able to do zig saws.
Snooze chat church service. Not a seat in the lounge. Snacks and tea all day.
I canot say enough to praise them..
Wonderful
bath when asked for.

Due to my own advancing age I am familiar with conditions inside several other care homes, and I feel happy to be able to report that I have always been favorably

I can't praise the team highly enough for the care my mum has received since she moved in. They are kind, patient and friendly and have helped her to settle in and feel at home. A clean, warm environment is ideal for people needing residential care. It gives me great peace of mind.

Mum has been a resident at Lauren Court Care Home for three and a half years. She settled in very quickly and looks at it as her home. The staff are wonderful with her nothing is too much trouble. She participates in all the activities she is able to do. Over the past year she has enjoyed trips out
with the other residents and staff. A big thank you to the Manager and all the staff, you are much appreciated by our family.

Mum is extremely happy at Lauren Court Care Home, where it is a home from home environment. The staff are superb and go above and beyond to ensure Mum is happy and cared for. It gives us peace of mind to know that she is being looked after in a warm, safe home with staff who really care.

Following hospitalisation in 2023, Mum moved into Lauren Court. My sister, brother and I all agree that it is the very best care home of the many we looked at in the area. She is very comfortable in her nicely appointed room. She enjoys the wide choice of quality food on offer, and the regular tea and
biscuits. She joins in with the various activities available, including the daily exercise classes, and enjoys spending time outdoors in the garden when weather permits. But most of all, she loves the staff. They are all so genuinely kind, caring and loving to her. She has just celebrated her 100th birthday in the home, and the manager arranged an amazing party for her to celebrate the occasion with other residents and with us. We always enjoy visiting Mum because we are treated like family by the staff and Mum is always so happy there whenever we see her. We have the utmost confidence and reassurance that Mum is in a very safe and caring place. It is simply outstanding.

My mother has been a resident of Lauren Court for just over a year. Prior to her moving in, she suffered from anxiety with no interest in eating, drinking or participating in activities of daily life. Now she has completely changed to her old self. She has put on weight, she is relaxed and now leads
an active life. This is due to the care and encouragement of all the staff at Lauren Court and our family cannot thank you all enough.

I think my mother is in the best care home she could possibly be in due to financial circumstances. She has come on leaps and bounds in the last 10 months. She has put on weight and her health has improved dramatically. She is well looked after by very caring carers. The staff are first class whether
it's management, carers or cleaning staff, they are all customer friendly. I would recommend Lauren Court Care Home very highly.

My cousin was placed in Lauren Court after being in hospital for a few weeks. I could not fault this place. The staff were very helpful and friendly. My mum took a while to settle into Lauren Court but now she is happy to be there. She joins in with bingo, daily exercises and going out on trips. The resident's dining room is pleasant, however, Mum prefers to eat in her own room. She has made friends whilst being there. The staff are all very helpful
and caring. All the cleaning and laundry is carried out to a very good standard. I am happy that Mum is in a safe and caring environment.

My mum has been at Lauren Court for over 3 years. The staff are very respectful and show interest in talking and listening to her. She has a lovely room filled with her own possessions and it is cleaned regularly. Mum enjoys her meals, the dining room tables are always set nice and there is always a
weekly menu you can review. Activities and events take place on most days and residents are encouraged to participate and mix together. The home has a family feel to it and knowing Mum is happy and content is also very reassuring.

Lauren Court is an absolutely fabulous Care Home. We couldn't be happier with the help and service they have provided to my Mother. She started her residency there in early April this, after we moved her out from somewhere less suitable. You can tell as soon as you walk through the door that this is
a special place to stay. The staff are lovely and kind and there is always someone on hand if help is needed. We always get a warm welcome whenever we visit (and so does our dog Tilly too). There is a full programme of activities which my Mum thoroughly enjoys and this helps to keep body and mind active throughout the day.

All the staff are very friendly and caring. My mother has been there for 12 months and often says how lucky she feels to be somewhere so nice and how much she enjoys the friendship of the staff. The home was extremely accommodating when my mother had to move in at extremely short notice following a
home visit from a member of the staff to do the assessment.

My mum came here for respite and has been here for several months now. The care home is modern, clean and well kept. Mum's room is lovely, overlooking a large playing field, which Mum loves looking on too. Staff have been very supportive and friendly. Lots of activities for Mum to join in if she wants
to. Overall, we, as a family, are very happy with Mum's stay here, and most importantly, so is Mum.

The home takes very good care of Mum who has been at Lauren Court for over 2 years. Mum is happy and settled there and the staff are caring, kind and lovely to her. They take great care of her, are very interested in her and spend time talking and listening to her. I really like the staff who make me

Job Title: Home Manager

As a dedicated healthcare professional, Racheal has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for residents.


Having worked at Lauren Court for many years, Racheal closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Racheal remarked:
“Being able to empower staff and make a difference to our residents’ lives.”


Racheal is very proud of her career so far, not least her current role, and she describes it as one of her greatest achievements:
“From the age of 16 I wanted to manage my own care home. I have worked so hard to get here, and the day I got the call to say I had been successful in my interviews for the Home Manager role, and that I had reached my goal, I couldn’t have been prouder!”


Outside of work, Racheal enjoys looking after her dog, Cosmo:
“I love my dog, Cosmo, he even comes with me to work sometimes. He really enjoys meeting our wonderful residents!”
