Acorn Hollow Care Home

Mum is very happy. Can not fault the home. It is very friendly.

The manager and staff keep us fully informed. The home itself is always clean. Food is very good a wide variety of options. My dad also enjoys meals when he visits. There is always something going on and mum is encouraged to get involved. I believe the care she receives has helped to stabilise her condition.

They do a fantastic job with my nan and cant fault the home or staff at all.

Following a quite traumatic number of weeks in hospital and then intermediate care mum was taken to Acorn Hollow care home. The staff have been so lovely with her and our family. We feel secure in the fact she is being looked after.

We have been incredibly pleased with the high level of care our mother receives. The staff are compassionate, attentive and genuinely caring, giving our family great comfort in knowing that our loved one is safe, happy and so well looked after.

The support provided to our family has also been exceptional. Staff are always approachable, understanding and willing to help, making what can be a difficult time much easier for us all.

The dining options are excellent, with a great variety of meals and choices, and there is clearly a strong focus on residents' individual preferences and enjoyment. We are also very impressed with the activity and enrichment programme, which offers a fantastic range of activities and opportunities to stay engaged and socialise.

We are extremely grateful to the whole team for the care, kindness and support they provide. It gives us great peace of mind knowing our mother is in such safe and caring hands.

I just want to say what a great team of carers work here. From Manager Rachel, Fliss Office Manager right down to the laundry ladies and cleaners. All have time for you, are smiley and happy in their work, are kind and considerate to the residents. They all listen to the residents and nothing is too much trouble. If a resident asks for something they do their best to accommodate it.

I have nothing but praise for Acorn Hollow. My mum stayed here for end of life care and she was treated with such dignity and care throughout her stay. The staff are absolutely amazing and we felt confident mum was getting the care she deserved. The rooms, facilities and catering were all excellent. We couldn't have wished for a better place for our mum.

I'm writing the review with pure gratitude for the manager, deputy manager and all the staff. The manager and deputy manager both were very helpful when we needed emergency respite care and acted with pure compassion. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The home is great place with a person centred care approach and the facilities have the homely feel

My mother lives here, and the care is amazing. The staff treat her with true kindness and respect every day. The home is always clean, warm, and welcoming. She enjoys the lovely meals and fun daily activities. The team also keeps me well informed. I feel so grateful and at ease knowing she is safe and happy here.

All staff and home manager made Joan and family feel welcome. We couldn't thank Rachel and staff enough for this difficult time, making my nan happy again.

Mum was admitted to Acorn Hollow for end-of-life care. From our first contact, when we arrived at the home to look at mum's room, the staff have been amazing. Given Mum's circumstances, they have ensured she has a quiet room. The staff have been so kind and gentle with her. The staff have been wonderful with us, ensuring we are well fed. Mum has told us she feels happy and safe here. What more could we ask for? Acorn Hollow is a lovely place, even in such sad circumstances, and the staff now feel like friends.

We cannot thank the staff enough at Acorn Hollow some of who went above and beyond in looking after our mum who was in their care for the last year and a half of her life. They treated her with kindness, dignity and respect and most importantly made her feel so welcome and happy. As her family we would also like to thank them for also looking after us during difficult moments and wouldn't hesitate in recommending Acorn Hollow to anyone who needs care.

The most wholesome, caring, loving environment. Seeing my grandad in a home was such a hard transition, but Acorn Hollow haw shown this is the safest, friendliest place for a loved one to be. All the carers are so professional and create such amazing relationships and a friendship. Rachel and Fliss are incredible assets and leaders. The staff are exceptional at their job, I know when I leave him, he's in a place he can happily call home.

Unfortunately they forgot to give Lionel his lunch one day and he had told me before on two occasions that he hadn't had any dinner but thought he was confused due to dementia and Alzheimer's . Also arrived one day to find Lionel struggling with a table which was just about in His grasp but at his side with his dinner left on it. Eats with a spoon but regularly have to ask for it. His teeth are nit cleaned regularly.

Very pleased with the care and the treatment I have received since I have been at Acorn Hollow.

Lovely home. Staff caring helpful and look after my nan very well. You can tell what staff are in looking after my nan.

The care my father-in-law receives is incredible, he is treated with the utmost respect and dignity. My father-in-law really enjoys the food and the variety. I am also treated amazingly when I come to visit.
