My experience with Acorn Hollow was very pleasing. The staff were very friendly and helpful towards my dad, even through the difficult times. He really did settle very well, even though he was only there for a couple of months. The dignity shown to him when he passed away was lovely.
My auntie is well cared for and is very happy within 'Acorn Hollow Care Home'. Staff are very welcoming and she enjoys sitting with other residents. It is nice to see her smiling once again as she has not done this for a while. It is all thanks to the staff at Acorn Hollow Care Home.
Acorn Hollow is a warm, caring environment. They provided a high standard of care to my relative in their last days. No problem too big. No question to difficult to answer. Respect and dignity provided in a very sensitive situation.
My experience with Acorn Hollow was very pleasing. The staff were polite and helpful. The home was clean and tidy. They were caring towards my nan and supported her dying with dignity. Nothing was too much trouble I especially liked the honesty and communication of telling the family of what stage my nan was at and what came next. Even when she passed the small gesture of putting a bouquet, cross and bible next to her meant a great deal and was very respectful.
Myself and my husband are very happy and comfortable here. All staff are kind and caring. We had a lovely Easter party and I was so happy to come first in the Easter Bonnet Parade.
I am more than happy with the care that my mother receives in this care home. I am comfortable that she is very well looked after by the excellent staff and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home to anyone.
I think Acorn Hollow is a nice clean place with very caring staff. My nan is well cared for, it is great to see staff looking after her and making her smile. We as a family are always made and feel very welcome and I am glad my nan lives here!
Acorn Hollow is amazing everyone. Staff are very helpful.
He is helped and encouraged to join in and go on trips. He always says how well looked after he is. Unlike many care homes there always seems to be something going on in activities. The only negative thing I can think of is the furniture in his room is a little tired, but I know there is a refurbishment going and and this will be changed in the future.
We, as a family, are very happy with the quality of care provided by the home. In the time that my mother has been at Acorn Hollow, since February 2014 we have seen several improvements both to the environment and the range of activities offered to the residents. The "Oliver" pantomime was well received and very appropriate to the residents. Unfortunately we missed the Halloween event but hope to be present for the Christmas party. Any issues we have had (very few) have been acted upon quickly to our satisfaction.
Excellent first impression. This impression is enhanced as times goes on. Excellent team. Approachable, caring, professional. You are made very welcome consistently when visiting. Communication both top down and bottom up is very good. I know my dad is in the best environment to meet his needs. It is a team of people to be proud of.
Mum was treated in a kind and caring way. Staff were very helpful and listened to our concerns and acted on them.
Acorn Hollow have happy and very caring staff. I enjoy sitting out in the garden with family members
