Kirknowe Care Home, situated in the peaceful community of Wishaw, supports older people to lead their best lives with personalised nursing and nursing dementia care.

Kirknowe has recently undergone a refurbishment which has enhanced communal areas to enhance the daily life of every Resident and support the mind, body and soul. The onsite hair salon, café and hobby room are great places for residents to relax and pursue hobbies and interests.

The catering team at Kirknowe understands the nutritional needs of older people and creates delicious meals to ensure a lovely dining experience for all residents and visitors. The wide range of popular dining areas provide a welcoming space to enjoy meals with fellow residents, or family and friends.

The dedicated and professional care team at Kirknowe likes to learn about each resident’s hobbies and interests to design a comprehensive activity programme, supporting those living in the home to enjoy the things they love most. I wish to thank the staff of Hazlebank who cared for my mum up to her passing away on the 4th August 2025. For the short time she spent there it was evident she was cared for in a kind and compassionate manner. It is so comforting to know. I would thoroughly recommend this care home to family and friends
making the decision to place their family in care.

My mum spent her last 18 months in Kirknowe Care Home and the care she received was first class.
As a family we cannot thank Hazelbank House enough for everything. I also received a memory book and the activities were a surprise to us as we now understand why she was so tired.

Activities could be better understood this is due to staffing levels/vacancies, in all other respects the care and provision is excellent and to the highest standard.

Mun has been in Kirknowe for just over a year. she is very settled and has made some good friendships with other residents.
As a family, we are happy with the level of Care mum receives, we know that she is being looked after and supported well. Her positive relationships with staff are evident.
We
also feel welcomed by staff and would be very comfortable to share any concerns if we had them.

My dad has been very settled since arriving at Kirknowe Care Home in September 2024. The staff are super friendly and approachable and he is well looked after. His room is clean and tidy and there are lots of activities for him to enjoy!

My mum went into care home April of this year2025 she has settled in really well and has been made really welcome by every member of staff .The home in itself is spotless and well.maintained. Her room is adequate for all her needs Her washing is done daily and delivered back to her room The food is
excellent resulting in my mum gaining weight after only 4 weeks I have had no issues but I'm sure if I did have they would be treated accordingly all in all very pleased with my mum's care and would highly recommend Kirknowe to anyone looking for somewhere for there loved one

Since arriving at Kirknowe in late December 2024 I have settled into the care environment. I have been given the regular opportunity to socialise with other residents and staff who have all been very supportive since my arrival. I am much more positive in my outlook with the set-up and am pleased with
the kind caring attitude given to me by all staff. My personal care and medical needs are being well met and I am beginning to make improvements with my mobility. Kirknowe has been a very positive choice for me and my family.

My wife had a serious fall that left her with a serious spinal injury it was heartbreaking for herself and me we were told that she would have to go into a care home it was a shock to us both I hade the choice to pick from to care homes when I was invited to see kirknowe care home I was pleased with
what I was shown I later took my wife and she was happy to be there it has been a very big impact on us as the days have gone by we have been delighted with the careers for their help and support a big thanks to all the staff.

Mum was in Hazelbank for four months until she passed in January. From the moment we walked in to Hazelbank we were struck by the homely ambience and we knew mum was going to be happy. She was cared for by the staff with compassion and dignity which was extended to include the family. We cannot put
into words our gratitude for the outstanding care mum received. Thank you to you all for going above and beyond.

My mum Helen was a resident in Hazelbank till she sadly passed away in January. I could not have wished for a better team to have looked after her while she was there. The care she received was fantastic the staff became her second family and myself and the family will always be grateful to them for

My mum resided at Kirknowe for approximately 18 months and during that time, the care received was exceptional. The staff were caring and attentive to Mum, providing the family with peace of mind. The home had lots of activities and entertainment, with the residents clearly enjoying these. I cannot
thank the staff enough for their support and compassion to my mum and our family during my mum's stay, especially during the last few weeks of her life.

Words cannot express what the staff at Kirknowe have done for my wee dad. My dad had been left to lie in bed for 5 months by the NHS but the staff at Kirknowe have had him sitting up and helping him to walk again. The staff are excellent and they are superheroes without capes. I cannot thank them enough
for their support and time they have spent with my dad.

Mum's new home from February 2024 to her sad passing in May 2024 and she absolutely loved it. All the staff in Kirknowe were amazing, they were wonderful with Mum and treated her with nothing but kindness and respect. It was kept spotlessly clean and Mum said the food was fabulous.

Dad was a resident in Kirknowe Care Home from September 2022 until his passing in August 2023. During that time the care he received was exceptional. Not only was he looked after but they also looked after us as a family. I would highly recommend them to anyone and still do.

The care given to the resident was extremely good and the staff in Kirkfield House were exemplary and we could not thank them enough for the care they gave him while he was a resident there. We would highly recommend the care home to anyone considering using the home.
