Mum moved into Brinnington Hall in June - & within 4 weeks she had settled, with the great support, care & dilligance of the staff. Her room was clean, & so comfy. From day 1, she was encouraged to join in with all the group activities on offer, from visits to Blackpool to Knit 'N' Natter. The care & time given to her is outstanding, she is so happy & settled!! The food is also outstanding - all Mums favourites & more! The communal areas are lovely, we feel apart of Mums "new home" - & there is always a smile, kind word or hug - from all the team

Brinny Hall is still my favourite Care Home, having experienced a number in recent years .... Some of the wonderful Carers are truly committed, whilst just a few need a wee whack around the back of the head with a soft pillow, as and when required ! .... I love the way there are many good laughs around the place and this often comes from all levels of staff ....However, would like to see more Staff giving visitors, such as myself, a good olde ' Good Morning ' when first meeting visitors on a new day for the first time ... still too many do not seem to manage this, which is a shame .... some however, are really great - the great Care Home manager is a good example - Activities seem to have picked up in recent times which is good - Perhaps we could have a return of Elvis, not the original, of course, which we could barely afford, but the look-a-like did a grand job ! .... All in all, Brinny Hall still flies the flag for others to match ....

Brinnington Hall Care Home in Stockport is simply excellent. From the first day when my mother moved in, she was extremely happy and so well looked after by the excellent and caring staff. We were met at the door by the very friendly and professional admin/front-of-house staff who explained everything in detail and were so welcoming. My mother's room is very comfortable, clean, tidy and has everything she needs. The care staff are extremely friendly, attentive and always on hand. The lounge/dining room is large, welcoming and very comfortable, and it did not take long for my mother to meet people and make friends. She really enjoyed the 'knit and nat' session, plus the guest singer who was excellent and really enjoyable to see everyone joining in. There are plenty of activities for everyone to join in, should they wish to. Thank you.

Staff are responsive and caring.
As a visitor, I feel welcome.
Maybe staff need training on issues to do with hearing aids.
The garden area was neglected when we first came, but there has been a noticeable effort to improve it recently. This matters as stimulation when taking Mum out in a wheelchair.

It is good that visitors can take in well-behaved family fogs.

Thank you for taking the time to write a response; it’s lovely to hear that your mum is well cared for. If you do have any concerns about hearing aids or anything else, please do speak with our home manager. Reception always gives a warm welcome in entering Brinnington Hall.
Care and other staff are always lovely with my mother-in-law, and she is very happy here.
It's good to see that the garden is starting to be given a makeover as up to now, it has appeared pretty neglected.

I think this is important as a place to sit out (when warm enough) and as stimulation when taking residents out.

My dad had a really hard time in hospital and down to them, he lost a leg. He was in a care home which did not look after him. I got him moved to Brinnington Hall, and he has now been there nearly 5 years. He would not be alive today if it was not for the amazing, caring, proper human beings that work at Brinnington. They can never do enough for my dad, whatever time, or day if he needs anything they are there. I cannot thank them enough.

Reply from Terri Kidd, PR Executive at Brinnington Hall

We are sorry that your dad had such a difficult journey to get to us but so pleased that he is now part of the Brinnington Hall family and that we are able to give him the care and support he requires. We agree, our team at Brinnington are amazing and it’s wonderful that they have been able to do so much for your dad. Thank you for your lovely words, we have passed them on to the team.

Until January 2021 my mother had lived independently in the same house for around 60 years. Unfortunately, at that time she was badly affected by COVID and spent 3 months in hospital, losing much of her strength and mobility and as a result, wasn't able to return to that independent life.
I looked at around 20 care homes before choosing Brinnington Hall as her new home and it was its staff and the positive atmosphere they created that made the choice easy for me. Over the past two years, I've never had cause to regret the decision and whenever I've visited she has seemed happy and well cared for and the atmosphere in the home has continued to be upbeat and positive.

They said at the start that it could be her home for life and the staff were true to their word, making sure that she was able to spend her last days in her own room, with someone always at her side, rather than in an impersonal hospital. The level of care at that time was exemplary and does all of its staff great credit.

Reply from Terri Kidd, PR Executive at Brinnington Hall

Thank you so much for leaving such a wonderful, heartfelt review.
