My mother came to stay at Brinnington Hall in December 2015, they have made my mum very welcome and happy. Myself and my family are also very happy. My mum has very early stages of dementia a bit unsteady on her legs, she can do lots of things for herself. We have found my mum has settled in nicely.

We were warmly welcomed at Brinnington Hall and the staff were unfailingly courteous and helpful, showing real care towards both guest and family. We cannot praise them highly enough for making our mother/mother in law/grandmother feel valued during her last 5 weeks. Were she in better health she would
have enjoyed all the activities and entertainment on offer. She certainly enjoyed a quiz, music/singing event and the Christmas Fair. Her room was very clean, pleasant and adapted for her stay, with a wonderful view. Staff excelled at listening and caring, not hurrying. They gave her dignity and self respect

My mother has been at Brinnington Hall Care Home for nearly three years now. In which time she has been shown loving care and help whenever needed. The carers have always done their best concerning my mothers wellbeing. A doctor has always been called if there has been any concern with her health. Over
the past month my mothers care has been as good as always also cleanliness of the home is of a high standard.

The carers are adequate but whether they are fully trained I do not know. I certainly would not like to do their job. I don't suppose there is any care home 100% satisfaction in the country there will always be problems.
I could list the problems we have but at they are only minor and not serious I
wont bother.

The best care possible, dignity and respect at all times to my auntie and family. The care on the pathway to dying was touching and respectful, can't express the kindness and support that was given from all staff. Her time in care could not have been more peace of mind to the family who loved her so
much.

I came to visit mum today at Brinnington Hall. Mum was having lunch, the food was hot and well prepared. The staff are always polite, friendly and always willing to help. The home is generally well kept, pleasant and warm. Mum appears to be comfortable, happy and cared for.

When we needed care for our family member, we found our about Brinnington Hall from a friend. We had looked around at quite a few care homes, but this one stood out from above the rest we looked at. From the moment we walked through the door we knew it was the home that our family member would be happy
at. The guided tour was excellent, we even got a cup of tea, our family member has been in the residence now for nearly 18 months and is still smiling.

My mother has now been in Brinnington care home for 2 years. She is always treated with dignity and respect. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, who are friendly and generally take care and consideration for all her needs.

The care and commitment and service provided by Brinnington Hall is excellent. The staff are all excellent and the food is excellent. If I have any issues about my dad I only have to speak to the staff or management and they are sorted. The home has improved since my dad went in there. I am happy for
my dad to be in the home, I don't think he could be anywhere better. I was a carer in a home for 30 years so I know what to look for. I say again my dad could not be anywhere better and I praise the staff and management for their care.

Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.126)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.126) out of 10 for Brinnington Hall is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.729 for Brinnington Hall is calculated as follows: ( (72 Excellents x 5) + (22 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 96 Ratings = 4.729
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.397 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Brinnington Hall is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 67 registered maximum number of service users is 13.4. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 13.4 = 0.597
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
