I shall be deeply grateful to all the staff at Orchard Mews for the rest of my life. Quite simply they cared for my mother in a way that anyone could possibly hope for when entrusting the life of their loved ones to others. I was told that my mother had become "one of the family" at Orchard Mews and
how genuinely true that was.
I am full of admiration for how hard the staff work. Yet their approach is gentle, kind, respectful and caring.
It is so sad to watch your loved one approach the end of life but there was fun and laughter and uplifting love shown throughout to my mother and to myself.
I can face the rest of my life with the confidence that my mother received the best possible care for the last one and a half years of her life.
The staff made that all-important difference. They are special people. Thank you for everything.

My sister is really happy in Orchard Mews.
The staff are always pleasant when I visit. I have recently enjoyed joining her for Valentine dine with loved one, followed by entertainment. It means so much that they involve the family and we continue to make spread memories.

The Staff at Orchard Mews care home have always been very kind and nurturing towards the residents.

I went to visit my nan last Tuesday and she was in the middle of trying to do the exercises in a taichi session. It was quite a full house with a lot of residents participating. My daughter and I joined in as did my mam.
This care home has a lot of activities for the residents and really makes an effort
to have a variety of things going on.
My mam suffers from dementia so she is probably unaware of what is happening a lot of the time but they really make sure that the dementia residents join in with everything that is going on if they want to.

We had a lovely evening at Orchard Mews on Feb 13th when we attended a special valentines evening arranged by the events Co- ordinator, she really had gone above and beyond arranging a three course meal with the tables and dining room beautifully decorated with hearts and flowers and place settings
creating a lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious. After the meal a singer had been arranged and we all enjoyed a lovely singalong and a little dance making some wonderful memories. A HUGE Thankyou to all at Orchard Mews for such a special occasion for residents and their families.

All the staff from the manager down are friendly and approachable at all times. They have all gone over and above in enabling our sister to improve greatly in regards to her physical and mental well-being.
Her dignity and wishes are respected. A special thank you to the kitchen staff who have responded
to and understood her dirty needs. A huge big thank you to all the staff for keeping her safe and cared for when we are not there.

I have visited this home almost every day since 24th January 2024, I find it difficult to find faults.
I think I have met and talked to most of the staff who I find very friendly and who I see doing their jobs really well. This care home is very clean, tidy and well looked after. Meals are presented
beautifully and there are always assorted drinks. Rooms are really bright, warm and comfortable. Lady manager I see visiting patients regularly having conversations.
This review is my opinion.

We are so grateful to the manager and all the staff at Orchard Mews for their excellent care of my dad. The home is lovely and most importantly the staff are so warm and caring, nothing we have asked for is too much trouble. The level of nursing care available has been excellent. It means so much to

Since my grandad arrived at Orchard Mews Care Home, the service he has been given has been outstanding. One of the young members of staff is an absolute treasure. She has such a lovely, warm and caring attitude. The dedication she puts into caring for my grandfather is fantastic! She is always smiling
and it's great for us, as a family, to know that she is taking care of my grandfather's needs. Thank you so much.

My dad has been here since May this year, and I am very happy with all aspects of my dad's care. The food is excellent here also. I feel I can relax knowing my dad is well cared for. He gets showers daily and is always clean and tidy. I have no concerns whatsoever and find the staff easy to talk to

The manager and the team are amazing, providing a caring, family environment in Orchard Mews for the residents and also families. Can't thank the manager enough for the support she gave me this month when I worried Mam wouldn't make her granddaughter's wedding day. She just sorted it, getting Mam ready
and getting her to the venue. One very happy bride. Knowing they are there to support us all means so much.

Excellent personal care. Seen a great difference in my mam - a huge improvement in her speech and well-being. I can't thank the staff enough; they have gone above and beyond with her care. It's the first time in two years I've seen my mam fully clothed and in a chair watching TV. It was like getting
a bar of gold to see this, and it is down to your staff.

My dad moved to Orchard Mews last October but sadly passed away on 1st March. In the few months, he was there, he was extremely well looked after. The staff cared for him with dignity and respect. He was always clean and happy, his room clean and tidy, and his clothes were always ironed and hung up
nicely. Dad was taken out on the bus and enjoyed all the entertainment. I would like to thank the staff for making my dad's last month's happy one.

My husband was transferred to Orchard Mews on 07.02.23 from the hospital, where he slept most of the time, often never waking during my visits. He has many medical problems, unable to walk or speak due to Parkinsons' Disease, is doubly incontinent and needs Dialysis three times per week. The day after
being welcomed by the staff, he was dressed in his own clothes, sitting up in bed trying to talk and recognise me. The change in his was amazing. The staff have helped him to sit in a chair and even go to day rooms as he is unable to get out of bed unaided. The staff interact with him and often calls into his room just to say hello. I feel for the first time since May 22, I can relax knowing he is being well cared for by the wonderful staff at Orchard Mews.

My dad was discharged to this facility from the hospital. He was admitted as bed bound and requiring all care. He has been there less than a month, and through regular interactions, medication given on time, and TLC, he has greatly improved. He has been up in a chair, spent time in the dayroom, is able
to feed himself and recognises when he needs to go to the toilet. The improvement I have seen is amazing, and I cannot thank the staff enough for their genuinely caring nature.
Management and staff on the floor have all taken the time to listen to us, and I have seen new steps being developed in his care plan to encourage his independence.
All of the staff are friendly and helpful.

My husband went into Orchard Mews in September 2022, he had been in two different care homes in the past three years but on entering Orchard Mews, he seemed to be more relaxed and settled within a couple of days of entering. I was so relieved because he has been showing signs of stress and anxiety but
that soon disappeared and he seemed more relaxed than he had been in a long time which took a lot of worry off of me. I can't praise Orchard Mews Care Home staff enough as they are all committed and caring and I knew my husband would be treated with the kindness and dignity he deserved and they provided that care.
