As stated below all my family and myself were perfectly happy for our son and brother being loved and cared for at all times while he was in residence at Northview Lodge. Sadly my son passed away on 22nd June 2022. We have visited the home to say our personal thanks to all his carers and staff.

I would like to see the Covid regulations relaxed more as my dad lip-reads and he finds it difficult when everyone is wearing a mask etc.

Providing a caring, happy home is what we pride ourselves on most. We are sorry that you found the communication barrier a little frustrating with regards to the staff wearing masks around your Father and the processes that we need to follow in conjunction with Government Care Home Guidance.
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, as concerns of this nature help us to improve our service and to explore an alternative face mask, which could help with communication between Residents and Colleagues. If you wish to discuss the matter further please contact the Home Manager directly who will do her utmost to work with you to remedy any concerns.

I can't recommend this home highly enough. My brother is currently a resident there and the care he has received whilst in this home is second to none, we recently had a family wedding, the carer and nurse who chaperoned my brother were absolutely brilliant with him on the day. They were very attentive to his needs and were also very discreet when attending his needs which was lovely to see, they really know how to care for their residents. I would also like to say that the other staff in the home went above and beyond to help my brother feel part of the wedding party by dressing up his wheelchair in the bridesmaid's colours, it was so thoughtful and we all thought it was absolutely amazing, we can't thank all concerned enough as we were truly overwhelmed by everything they did for my brother on the day. I have to say though the carer and nurse really deserve recognition for all their efforts on the day, we really appreciate everything you did on the day. Thanks.

I am happy with all the love and care and attention given to my son. I have full confidence with all who attend to my son. Who rarely converses, but the staff give him full attention for the need. We rarely see the manager and have not had a meeting with him.
