I moved in April, since moving in I have been met with good care, and very friendly staff. I feel safe and happy, I wasn't in long when I went out to Seaham on a lovely trip, were I was well looked after and had fish and chips. I enjoy activities and entertainment, knit and natter being a favourite.

My father moved into Hawthorn Court three months ago, and from the very beginning we felt reassured that we had made the right choice. We carefully researched homes, as it was important for us to find somewhere that could provide not only professional care but also a warm friendly environment....
The staff are compassionate, attentive and always treat residents with dignity and respect. The environment itself feels homely and welcoming, which has helped my dad settle in comfortably. There is a good balance of activities and stimulation. This has made a noticeable difference to Dad's mood and overall quality of life. Most importantly, we have peace of mind.
Excellent staff, pleasant, helpful, warm and welcoming.

It's a lovely, friendly and welcoming place. They have lots of activities going on. The gardens are lovely, and at special events like Christmas, Easter, etc., they decorate the home so beautifully. The staff are very helpful too.

We arrived at Hawthorn Court to a lovely welcome from the reception staff and some carers who were busy attending to residents. There was a lovely, happy feel about the place. My mum-in-law was feeling quite shaky after a long wait in the hospital and the ambulance journey, but the senior carer put her at ease straight away. We were shown to her room, which was very cosy with a lovely view over the rear gardens. She is really enjoying her stay. The staff are very caring and make sure she is included in the activities/entertainment. The housekeeping staff are very friendly and keep the home very clean and tidy. Good choice of home for our mam.
Staff are all very friendly and courteous. Mum is very engaged as lots of activities going on.
Thanks to staff and management for making mum feel so welcome!

Hawthorn Court has good sized room swhich are all kept clean and tidy, as is the whole building. The outside space and garden are very well kept, too. Management/reception team are professional, and there's always something going on, courtesy of the activity team, from games to gentle exercise and trips out. By far the best care home my dad has been in.
The staff and everyone who works here are lovely, and my mother in law has settled in well. She looks much better in herself, so we feel she is being well looked after. Thank you everyone.

The restaurant is bright and airy. I viewed many care homes before deciding Hawthorn Court was the best for my mum. I know when I leave her, she is in excellent hands, so therefore I don't worry, and I know she is well looked after. All the staff go above and beyond, so I personally would give Hawthorn Court 5 stars all the way. Cannot thank you all enough for your hard work and dedication.
