Very pleased with care and support my mother has received since moving into Meadowlands. All the staff are so helpful and welcoming. Her room has been personalised and nothing is too much trouble. I am not able to visit as often as I would like but the activities coordinator has enabled regular video
calls, which has been very much appreciated and helps maintain the close bond between myself and my mother. My mother is eating well and her overall health has improved and dementia is stable.

My dad was in your home for a month or so, but received wonderful. Every member of staff was so helpful and friendly.
Any time we had a question, it was answered thoroughly and promptly. We always felt he was being well looked after.

My dad is having excellent care at this home. They treat him like family and he very much enjoys it here. The carers are very gentle and respectful with my dad. Can't fault the service. The 1-1 care from certain staff is amazing and my father's very happy with them.

My father has dementia and was transferred to Meadowlands recently from hospital. He has settled in really well. The facilities are excellent and the staff are kind, caring and professional. My dad's needs have been fully met and he is comfortable, clean and very well looked after. I cannot fault the

From the outset the staff have been excellent, efficient and compassionate. They clearly treat everyone with dignity and care.
They all actively engage with family members and this has helped my family come to terms with the transition. We believe that the new home for mum will enable her to receive

I'm deeply disappointed with the standard of care at this home. The visitor book is not monitored and not signed by everyone, raising serious concerns about security. The facilities are sparse and feel bare, offering no sense of comfort or warmth. There is a clear lack of stimulation or engaging activities
for residents. Staff appear very young and inexperienced, and sadly, often give the impression that they simply don't care.
Vegetarian options are virtually non-existent-meals are just the standard dishes with the meat removed, which is unacceptable. On one visit, I witnessed a drink spilled on the floor and staff sitting nearby doing nothing about it, even after being informed.
It feels like only the bare minimum is being provided here. It's heartbreaking to see a loved one in such a bleak and uncaring environment. Families entrust homes with the well-being of those they care about most-this place is failing that responsibility.

All staff are caring and friendly and good at what they do. The food is very good and more than enough for all, they welcome me at all times with a smile and a cup of coffee. The home is clean and so is my husband and always dressed and clean whenever I visit.

The staff are really friendly, helpful and courteous. My sister is treated with care, compassion and dignity. I came to visit whilst the staff were putting on a Christmas sing-a-long, everyone was having a great time, residents, staff and even the guests! My sister is in great hands.

As a Mental Health Nurse, Sandra has gained over thirty years experience in caring for people. She considers herself to be very fortunate in that, the career she chose many years ago, she still has a passion for and sees it as a privilege to support individuals in maintaining the best possible quality of life.


Having worked with HC-One for many years, Sandra closely shares the company’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident.


She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Meadowlands.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Sandra remarked:
“Welcoming new Residents and their families to the home, getting to know them and helping them to settle into their new environment and life at the home.”
Outside of work, Sandra likes to wind down by reading a good book, watching a great movie or shopping, she is a bit of a science-fiction geek and is proud of it!
