The home

Merse House is a 32 bed care home based in Kirkcudbright in Dumfries and Galloway, South West Scotland, providing specialist residential care to older people and people living with dementia. Overlooking the River Dee it is close to many areas of outstanding beauty.

Key Responsibilities:

·  Clean and maintain residents’ rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas

·  Perform daily housekeeping duties such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing

·  Change bed linens and make beds regularly

·  Dispose of waste safely and hygienically

·  Follow infection control and health & safety procedures at all times

·  Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces to prevent the spread of illness

·  Replenish supplies such as toiletries, paper products, and cleaning materials

·  Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management

·  Respect residents’ privacy, dignity, and personal belongings

·  Work collaboratively with care staff and other team members
