Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Activities Co-Ordinator to join our team at Eversleigh Nursing Home in Royal Leamington Spa. In this vital role, you will organize engaging activities that enhance the well-being and happiness of our residents, reflecting our commitment to compassionate elder care.
 

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a diverse activities program tailored to residents' interests and needs.
• Coordinate recreational events, outings, and social gatherings to promote community engagement.
• Collaborate with staff and families to assess residents' preferences and capabilities.
• Lead activity sessions that support cognitive and physical health.
• Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation.
• Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all residents.
• Stay informed about best practices in elder activity programming.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities.
• Qualifications
• Proven experience in activity coordination within a nursing home or assisted living setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging elderly populations.
• Ability to assess residents' needs and adapt activities accordingly.
• Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care is highly desirable.
• Certification in activity coordination or related fields is a plus.
• Compassionate nature with excellent organizational skills.
