Job summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Elm House care home in Nantwich, Crewe. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a passion for elderly care and strong leadership skills.

  • Location: Elm House care home - Pillory Street, Nantwich
  • Role: Senior Care Assistant
  • Hours: 36.75 position available
  • Rate of Pay: £13.93 per hour
  • Schedule: 08.00-20.00 - Three shifts per week - Alternate weekends
  • Right to Work in UK: Sponsorship is not available for this position

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum) or equivalent
  • Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3
  • Proven experience in administering medication
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Right to work in the UK

Your Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate records in line with company policies
  • Assess and review the social and healthcare needs of residents
  • Maintain and update individual care plans bi-annually or as needed
  • Support and supervise junior staff under senior guidance
  • Liaise with GPs, managers, and other professionals regarding resident wellbeing
  • Conduct regular checks on residents as scheduled
  • Take responsibility for resident care in the absence of the Home Manager or Deputy
  • Welcome visitors and provide assistance and refreshments
