The home:
Situated in Stranraer Thorney Croft is a warm, welcoming and friendly 60 bed residential care home which provides specialist care and support to older people and people living with dementia. Our home has some wonderful spaces to relax and enjoy company of friends and family, including an activities room, TV lounges and small kitchenettes.
All bedrooms are comfortable and spacious with en-suite facilities. We encourage people to personalise their rooms with small items that remind them of home. We have beautiful sensory gardens, so people we support can enjoy relaxation and activity outdoors.
Key Responsibilities:
· Providing personal care, such as showering, shaving, oral hygiene and dressing
· Administering medication
· Monitoring health and wellbeing
· Maintaining records and reporting any changes
· Assisting with meal preparation and household tasks.
· Providing emotional support and companionship.
· Helping with everyday life care, such as mobility and mealtimes.
· Supporting people with social and physical activities.
