About the Role
As Head Housekeeper, you will take responsibility for the
cleanliness, safety, and presentation of the home. You will lead the
housekeeping team, working closely with the management and care teams
to ensure all areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness,
infection prevention, and hygiene.
Your role ensures that residents, visitors, and staff experience a safe, welcoming, and homely environment. You will oversee daily cleaning schedules, manage stock and supplies, carry out audits, and support training within your team to maintain consistent standards.
What We Are Looking For
You have previous experience in housekeeping, ideally in a care
home, healthcare, or hospitality environment, and you are confident
supervising or leading a team. You have a strong understanding of
cleaning procedures, COSHH, and infection prevention and control. You
are organised, reliable, and take pride in your work, with a keen eye
for detail and high standards.

communicate well with colleagues, residents, and visitors, and
understand the importance of dignity, respect, and professionalism.

Lammermuir House Care Home, located in the charming seaside town
of Dunbar, provides high-quality care for up to 48 residents within a
purpose-built, modern facility. With stunning views over the Firth of
