The home

Situated in the beautiful market town of Castle Douglas, overlooking Carlingwark Loch and surrounded by the magnificent Galloway countryside, Carlingwark House is warm, welcoming home that provides residential care and support for up to 30 older people, including people who are living with dementia.

Key Responsibilities:

·  Clean and maintain all areas of the care home, including:

·  Residents’ bedrooms

·  Bathrooms and toilets

·  Communal lounges and dining areas

·  Corridors, offices, and staff rooms

·  Carry out daily, weekly, and deep cleaning tasks in line with cleaning schedules

·  Ensure all cleaning is carried out in accordance with health and safety and infection control procedures

·  Safely use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment

·  Handle laundry duties when required, including:

·  Washing, drying, ironing, and folding clothes and linens

·  Dispose of waste safely and appropriately

·  Report maintenance issues, damages, or hazards to management

·  Respect residents’ privacy, dignity, and personal belongings at all times

·  Follow safeguarding policies and report any concerns
