Registered Care Home Manager – Plymbridge House, Plympton
£50,000–£55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
At Plymbridge House, we believe care should feel like home. Not just safe. Not just well-run. But warm, personal, and full of life.
Our 40-bed home is a place where residents are truly known and valued - where their stories matter, their dignity is protected, and their days have meaning. It’s also a place where our team feel supported, trusted, and proud of what they do.
We’re looking for a Registered Care Home Manager who shares that belief.
- Someone who doesn’t just meet standards but raises them.
- Someone who leads with both head and heart.
- Someone who understands that exceptional care is built on connection, compassion, and purpose - not just process.
If that sounds like you, this isn’t just another role. It’s your opportunity to shape something genuinely special.
About us:
We are a small, family-run organisation with big ambitions - rooted in delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
At Peninsula Care Homes, our CARE values guide everything we do:
Committed. Ambitious. Responsible. Embracing.
Alongside this, our Richer Life Framework sits at the heart of our approach. It starts with one simple question: “What does a rich life look like to you?”
For our residents, that means days filled with comfort, connection,
and purpose.
For our team, it means feeling valued, developed,
and supported to do their very best work.
As Registered Manager, you will bring this philosophy to life - creating a home where people don’t just live, but truly belong.
Why Plymbridge House?
- Family-run and values-led – We’re not a corporate chain. We know our people, and we care deeply.
- A truly homely environment – A warm, welcoming setting near Plymouth.
- A team that makes a difference – Our people don’t just do a job, they change lives.
- Leadership with real impact – You’ll shape the culture, direction, and future of the home.
- Meaningful care, every day – A home where purpose, dignity, and joy are part of everyday life.
What we’re looking for:
- A strong, compassionate leader who inspires and develops others
- Proven experience as a Registered Care Home Manager
- A solid understanding of CQC standards, with a drive to go beyond compliance
- A people-first approach - because great care starts with a supported team
- Someone ambitious for their home, with the vision to take it further
- NVQ Level 4/5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards)
- Strong communication, organisation, and IT skills
Most importantly, you’ll live our values - and bring energy, warmth, and meaning into everyday care.
What we offer:
- Competitive salary
- Ongoing professional development - we invest in our leaders
- The opportunity to lead a home that genuinely feels like home
- Autonomy to shape and grow your service
- Support from a dedicated central team
- Support with financial management and budgeting
- Access to a Mental Health First Aider and confidential staff helpline
- Death in Service cover (subject to criteria following probation)
