Job summary

A senior carer to cover DAYS and NIGHTS 

8am-8pm

8pm-8am

When on nights you get paid your break

Extra training payment each month when training is at 100%

Responsibilities:

- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals

- Being in charge of the running of the shift
- Provide personal care and support to elderly individuals in a compassionate and respectful manner
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques and mobility aids
- Engage in meaningful conversations and provide companionship to promote emotional well-being
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the best care for clients

Skills:

- Medication administering qualification essential

-NVQ LEVEL 3 essential
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Empathy and compassion for the elderly population
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail in providing personal care and following care plans
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures
- Knowledge of safety protocols for infection control
