Job summary
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and diligent Deputy Manager to support our residents, family, and team. We aim to deliver holistic care to our residents in a warm, friendly, and family-style environment, which makes the Deputy Manager's role essential in linking residents and staff.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a supportive environment which focuses on personalised care, whilst providing leadership, training, and development experiences.
The Role
The successful candidate will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the home operates smoothly, safely, and remains fully compliant with regulatory standards. You will be a visible leader, delivering holistic care, and managing administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance & Safety: Oversee individual resident care plans and risk assessments to ensure we meet and exceed all regulatory requirements
- Staff Development: Support the growth of our team through training and supervision
- Leadership Support: Work collaboratively with the Registered Manager and Senior Management; provide essential cover and leadership during the Manager’s absence.
- Relationship Building: Act as a key point of contact for residents, their families, and external healthcare professionals, fostering an environment of trust and transparency.
Qualifications
- Elderly and Dementia Care: Experience in a Senior Care Role in an elderly dementia care setting
- Health and Social Care: NVQ 3 or above
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of CQC standards and safeguarding protocols
